Q: Does this come with the front weight kit?
by Jim from Ohio on May 19, 2015

A: Jim - the Toro TimeCutter baggers do not include a front weight kit. You would need to purchase the #131-7658 weight kit separately.

Q: Is the weight kit really necessary or can I get away with just the twin bagger? Also, will this bagger be effective in picking up grass clippings and leaves as well.?

by Joe from New York on May 14, 2015

A: Joe - if you have a lap bar (steers with the two control levers) style Toro TimeCutter zero turn mower, you very well could find one or both of your front swivel caster wheels coming up off the ground as the bagger fills up with grass if you don't have the front weight kit installed. The lap bar style zero turns are very "back heavy" to begin with, and the bagger just adds to that - especially when it's filled up with grass. You don't have to install the front weight to make the bagger work, but it's a definite safety issue if you mow and bag without the front weight kit installed.

These baggers do a pretty good job on dry leaves, but don't perform very well picking up wet leaves.

Q: Does this come with the mounting kit?
by Jeff Herout from Nebraska on April 05, 2015

A: Jeff - yes, the mounting kit is now included with the new Toro TimeCutter baggers.

Well Designed
I bag my lawn because I have a house dog, and I don't want grass coming in with it. The bagger was well designed, but when I get to where the grass is thicker over my septic tank drain field, the tube to the bagger always clogs. I have to cut the thick strips first, unclog the tube and then continue to cut grass.
