Q: Does this model stand on end to make it easier to store and sharpen blades?
by David from Texas on May 09, 2015

A: David - the current Snapper rear engine rider models do not have the stand-on-end feature any longer
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: the Snapper model 7800952 re210 shows includes mulch kit, why then under accessories do you show 2 different mulch blades to purchase? is the mower equipped with a mulch blade? i.e. if I just purchase mower as equipped can I mulch? I have 1/3 acre lawn and don't bag or side discharge
by Larry Knudson from Colorado on June 05, 2014

A: Larry - the Snapper rear engine riding mowers (including the model 7800952) come equipped with a 3-in-1 style mower blade that is designed to bag, mulch or discharge the grass clippings with equal effectiveness. Many folks feel that the Ninja mulch blade or the Gator mulch blade do a much better job of mulching the grass clippings than the blade that comes standard with the mower does, as these two blades are designed specifically to mulch the cut grass. That is why we offer these two blades as optional accessories.

Happy With My Snapper
I've had my Snapper since the first of June. Well built. The body is all metal including the gas tank. The combination rolled deck and Gator blade give a superior cut as close to a reel mower as I've seen. Easy starting and handling. The 15.5 hp engine has plenty of power.

My wife wanted to try it out and long story short I haven't mowed in a couple of months. Fair warning fellas now it's my wife's mower. She mows twice a week and the yard has never looked better. She also mows our elderly... more

A Goat Is Better
Snapper is last mower I will ever buy, nothing but problems from the start a waste of my time and money. Always fixing the front end always stopping to get grass out of the shoot always going over the lawn because the blade suck ,I should of purchase a goat he would did a better job.
Cons: Expensive, Difficult To Use, Low Quality, Unreliable

Okay Mower, Finally Gave Up The Ghost
I had the previous model of Snapper, Snapper RE110 (28") 11.5HP Rear Engine Riding Mower (2013 Model).

Last year the steering went out and I had it fixed.

The transmission just quit and locked up. The estimate was $470 to fix. I decided to junk the Snapper.

I lightly tried to use the Snapper from 4 years ago and it didn't make it. I say lightly, because I have a small lot and mainly mowed the front yard with a riding mower because it saved me 15-20 minutes and wear and tear on my... more

Poor Quality
I bought this mower from Mowers Direct right before last years 2016 cutting season. I've had it less than two years. The wheel bearings elongated I had to replace them. I did grease the bearings before ever using the mower, and during cutting season. The deck I can't keep level. I will adjust it, and it seems to just slowly creep out of level. When I first got the mower the handle for the deck height adjustment pulled off in my hand when I lifted it.
Cons: Unreliable, Low Quality, Durability

Snapper Rear Engine Rider
This mower has no power for going up slight inclines. It is hard to steer and very noisy. The catcher shoot clogs easily. The mower is rough finding. I'm the positive side, it starts easily. Even with the mower deck leveled you do not get an even good looking cut.
Pros: Durable, Light Weight, Easy To Store
Cons: Expensive, Difficult To Use, Not an even cut even with deck leveled

Good Mower But Am Having Some Difficulty Getting It To Crank
I have used this model for one season and it performs well for my 1 acre lot.

I do have an issue and would love a response. I mowed through leaves on a dry day and afterward spayed the unit (including the engine) off. It will not start since that date - a month or so back.

I drained the gas tank, blew out the gas lines, cleaned the air filter but it will not restart.

Any clues would be appreciated.

thanks,

Difficult To Steer
I had a car in the 1980s without power steering. It was very difficult to parallel park. This mower reminds me of that car. It is difficult to maneuver even around the simplest of obstacles. I have been using a zero turn mower for the past 5 years. It is so simple to maneuver in comparison. The "safety" feature that handles reverse is a joke. Do yourself a favor and buy a zero turn mower instead. They are easy to handle and you don't have to jump through hoops to go in reverse.

Love, Love, Love This - Only Riding Mower With 33" Deck
I owned one of these mowers back in the day, 1978, and it was easy to fix, easy to use, easy to transport, user friendly, and easy to take care of! Now after years of mowing my lawn with a "Walker" I'm back to old school! IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT, should have saved the money and stayed with Snapper!

Snapper Wins Again
Certainly the highest quality rear engine mower available today. If you are a return buyer you'll know in a minute that it's not as heavy duty as the Forrest Gump model.

The only con I have is not knowing how much there is to do to set up. No one to help makes it very difficult to lift this heavy mower off the shipping packaging.

I cut my grass, it worked great. It's easy to use. I'll write more once I go through some more use. My last Snapper was a 28" Hi Vac. That was stolen... more

Good Shipping, Good Mower. Needs Mulching Blade If You Are Going
Delivery from Mowers Direct was seamless. I ordered the lift gate service and was very glad I did. The driver placed the 400 lb crate right where I needed it. Assembly was straightforward. Bear in mind that it takes 2 people or decent jack stands to install the front wheels. Battery was charged but not connected (a good thing) and crankcase was filled with oil. Mower started on first crank and has run well for 3 hrs/3 mowings so far. The mower came set up for mulching, but also had a side... more
