I have a 3/4 acre flat lawn to mow and am looking for a mower that will also serve me well to pick up fall leaves and long pine needles. Never used a riding mower before but need to now due to health issues.
Claude O'Connor
from Delaware
November 26, 2013
Answer
Claude,

This Snapper RE210 is a good choice for a smaller riding mower. You get the ease of a rider without the bulkiness of a 54" zero turn mower. The turning radius is a tight 20" so you can maneuver through narrow areas that are inaccessible to larger mowers. The transmission is hydrostatic so you have an infinite speed selection up to 5 mph instead of a handful of gears to select from.

Snapper uses their Hi-Vac deck which maximizes the air lift created by the blade. The lip of the deck is curled inward helping to create additional suction to pull your grass upright, providing a clean cut and clearing the cut grass and leaves from your lawn.

I included a links for two baggers for this mower. There are two sizes to pick from, a 5 bushel capacity single bag and a 6 bushel capacity double bag model.

Does Snapper offer an anti scalping wheel to put on the deck so if I hit a hole with w/ wheel it does not push the deck into the ground and scalp my lawn?
Travis
from Georgia
May 29, 2013
Answer
Travis - sorry, but Snapper does not have anti-scalp wheels that are compatible with the mower deck on the RE series rear engine riding mowers.

My back yard has an incline. What is the maximum incline this mower will support? I would mow so the mower is going perpendicular to the incline.
Ann Noles
from Florida
April 29, 2013
Answer
Ann - the Snapper rear engine riding mowers are not recommended for use on slopes or inclines of greater than 17 degrees. Anything more than this and you run the risk of not only poor traction but restricting proper oil flow to key engine parts - especially if you are mowing across the plane of the slope being mowed as you suggest in your e-mail.

If by chance, while mower is under warranty and something happens, how does it get fixed?
Sha
from West Virginia
April 22, 2013
Answer
Sha - should warranty service ever be needed, you would take your mower to the nearest Snapper authorized service center in your area. The Snapper warranty is a nationwide warranty, so it's honored no matter where the mower was originally purchased.

Hello. I am looking at the Snapper RE210. My question: I would want it to be a mulcher, What is the cost for any hardware to make it a mulcher? Thanks so much. I will probably be ordering depending upon your answer. Glenn Mentor, Ohio 44060
Glenn Gobble
from Ohio
March 08, 2013
Answer
Glenn - the Snapper RE210 is equipped to mulch when you buy it. There is no mulch kit or additional hardware needed unless you want to mulch all the time and you wish to install the Snapper Ninja mulching blade in place of the 3-in-1 blade that comes standard on the mower.

I've ordered a Snapper RE100 riding mower from you recently. I am looking forward to receiving it and am patiently waiting for its delivery. Does this 2013 new model have the capability of adding a trailer to it now that it cannot be stored in an upright position? If a trailer mount isn't provided, do you think that one might be able to improvise their own mount? Thank you, Ron
Ronald Ziegler
from Tennessee
February 20, 2013
Answer
Ronald - sorry, but none of the new Snapper rear engine riders have a hitch included, and Snapper does not offer a hitch attachment as an option either.

I have a 35 inch wide door that the mower needs to go through for storage. when I look at the width specification of the mower its listed as 34up/42 down. What does this mean and will the mower fit through the door of the storage shed?
James Ryden
from California
February 09, 2013
Answer
James - this means with the discharge chute cover in the "up" position the overall width of the mower is 34 inches and with the discharge chute cover in the "down" position the overall width of the mower 42 inches. These measurements are approximate, so since you only have an inch of space to play with, you may want to look at one of the Snapper rear engine riding mowers with the 28" mower deck instead.
