I haven't used a reel mower for over 35 years. The last one I used was my dad's California Trimmer. The quality is still amazing and it cuts so clean. This is the best reel mower for over 50 years.

The mower is quality and cuts well.

The grass catcher will jump up into the blades when you touch anything in front (like a tree or a bush or any obstacle) while mowing. The metal catch brackets (2) on the grass catcher will get chewed up in the blades and probably screw up the blades some although not evident yet.

Great mower. Had some break in time because of the tight reel. Works great after a few mowings. Good heavy fine cut mower. Drags me around the yard if I don't turn the speed down!

I had an 18 year old mclane that finally died, was looking for another 7 blade reel and read the reviews on the cal-trim. I liked what I saw, ordered the 20" with the Honda engine. Wow! This thing will have me winning multiple yard of the month awards.

Does a great job on my 419 Bermuda. Several neighbors have inquired about the mower. I am keeping my yard at 1" and this mower is great. One suggestion - order the roller with it as it makes a huge difference if you have any uneven areas in your lawn.

I have had this mower for 1 year now and it still starts on the first pull. It does an outstanding job on the lawn and leaves clean cut grass blades. My lawn looks beautiful after mowing. I have Tifgreen 328 grass and keep the mower at .25" height in spring and summer and I over-seed with rye grass in winter. The mower cuts both grasses great. You won't go wrong purchasing this mower!
