Downgrade From Original Model
I agree with Joy R's review from 2013. This "new" B&D cordless is a DOWNGRADE from the original - which we owned from 1998 until 2015 - and only had to replace the battery one time. We bought the new one from Amazon on Jan 26, 2015, and the battery is already dead!! And, as Joy pointed out, there is no battery meter on the new model. Big disappointment makes me almost want to return to fossil fuels.
Pros: Easy To Use, No gas or oil necessary
Cons: Low Quality, Unreliable, Durability, Battery life is terrible.

I Cannot Tell You How Much I Hate This Mower
We owned the first model of this mower and LOVED it. How a company can create a model DOWNGRADE as the next model is beyond me but they did. This mower is awful! The battery had to be replaced within two months because it wouldn't hold a charge ($70). The lever to change the height is impossible to move without getting a hernia. There is no battery meter as there was on the previous model so you just have to guess how much juice is left in the battery. The plug-in for the charger is asinine.... more
Cons: Low Quality, Difficult To Use, Unreliable, Durability

Excellent
We bought our mower 2 years ago (from Home Depot) and couldn't ask for a better mower. Actually, this was #2 because the first one came crushed from shipping. Another came quickly. Absolutely NO problems. Wouldn't trade it for another under any conditions (unless lots of cash).
Sorry Joy had so much trouble. Our model was just bare bones - no meters, etc. We just plug it in every time after using it. Keep it spotless (waxed the exterior), blade sharpened, etc. Runs perfectly! And... more
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Exceeded Expectations, All Of The Above
