Product QuestionsAnswered by Dale, the Lawn Mower Expert
I have a VERY rough lawn (2 acres), would this type of aerator help smooth it out a little? If not, what would you suggest?

Answer
Dan - an aerator is really not designed to level uneven ground. An aerator pulls plugs of soil up out of your lawn, allowing water and nutrients to reach the roots of your grass. Lawn aeration strengthens the roots, and strong roots equal a lush, green lawn. If you are looking to "smooth out" your lawn without damaging your grass, you should consider a lawn roller: lawn rollers

can this be pulled by ATV?

Answer
Tim - yes, this can be pulled by an ATV - provided your ATV can tow something weighing almost 600 lbs - which is what this lawn roller weights when it's filled with water. It is also recommended that you not tow this lawn roller at speeds of greater than 5 mph.

Todd, want to purchase a Toro SS 42 zero turn with the Kawasaki 42" 22hp. What size roller would you recommend I pull behind.

Answer
Scott - it depends on whether you intend to pull the lawn roller as you mow, or if you are just going to use the zero turn mower to pull your lawn roller around your property. If you are going to pull the lawn roller behind you as you mow, I would suggest the 36" wide lawn roller. Since this mower has a 42" mower deck, you would not want to use a lawn roller that is wider than your cutting swath. You would be rolling and compressing grass that you haven't cut yet, which would give you a very uneven overall cut. If you are not going to be mowing while you use your lawn roller, the 48" wide lawn roller would be your option.
