  1 Question
Q: Jose - I am interested in this light kit but from reading the reviews I am a little worried this same situation will happen. Is there anyway that I can find a solution for this so when i purchase these lights and the mower I can avoid blowing fuses and bulbs
by Christopher Nettles from Virginia on November 07, 2013

A: Christopher - the reviewer you are referring to that was having issues with fuses blowing had wired up the kits with the lead wires reversed. This is what was causing his issue. I am not aware of any chronic problem of fuses blowing out on this light kit.

Revised Review
It turns out that I had the lights wired backwards. Nothing in the instructions said that the white wire was positive and the black neutral. It normally would not matter which wire is connected on a light. However on these lights the neutral side is connected to the light housing. So when I wired the positive to the black wire on the light and bolted the light to the mower it was taking the circuit to ground and blowing the fuse. The only way I was able to figure this out was to open the light... more

Great Lights
Lights work and look great. Very easy to install, just remember (as other reviewers have stated) the white wire is positive and black is neutral.

Husqvarna Zero Turn Light Kit (mz Series)
Like other posts say, the wiring is not clear. Wire color is meaningless. Connect the two blue wires will ground the lights and blow the fuse. Otherwise easy to install and operate. Just need to clarify the wire connection instructions.

Load Issues
The light kit mounts up nicely and plugs in an wires easy. The problem is the load the lights draw is greater than the circuit there are wiring into can handle and it blows the fuse. Its a 20 amp fuse and appears to be number 12 wire. I even put a 30 am in there and it blew that. I didn't want to go higher for fear I would burn the wiring in the mower.

If I want to use these lights now I guess I am forced to rewire and develop there own circuit for these lights.
