Product QuestionsAnswered by Dale, the Lawn Mower Expert
Need to buy an electric cord to use this cultivator. Can't use an electric cultivator without buying a 50' or 100' cord. What's the right gauge to buy?
Lois Eggleston
from South Carolina

Answer
Lois - for an 8.5 amp electric motor, you would want a 14-gauge outdoor rated cord if you're going with a 50-foot length, and a 12-gauge outdoor rated cord if you're going to use a 100-foot cord.

Is the Mantis electric tiller as strong as there Mantis gas model?
Rudy
from Louisiana
October 06, 2013
Answer
Rudy,
It is funny you should ask that, since many people would assume that the gas model of the same size cultivator would be more powerful than its 9" electric counterpart.
In this instance it is not the case. The electric tiller produces more torque in the motor than you will find in the 2-cycle engine model.

Bob- can you take off the two outside tines to weed and loosen the soil betweeen rows?
R. Bruce Miller

Answer
Bruce - you cannot adjust the tilling width on the Earthwise electric cultivator. You can take off the outside tines to narrow the tilling width for weeding on both the Greenworks electric tiller and the Troy-Bilt TB154E: electric cultivators This feature is also available on several of the gas cultivators we sell.

Answer
John,
This is not made in the USA. Most of the electric models are made in China. The Mantis (9") Dual Rotating Electric Cultivator/Tiller Model 7250-00-02 is made in the USA. This model is in stock at $329.99.
