Before I purchased my loading ramps, I had to improvise with two 2x4's. I put my Lawn Tractor onto my front porch then backed my truck up near and put the 2x4's across. This was dangerous and extremely precarious, but I only had my mower fall off once. Now that I have the ramps it is a totally safe maneuver and I can easily load and unload my lawn tractor without any assistance, I am 74 years old. If I could make any changes to the ramps I would have the height of the edge increased so as to more safely guard against a vehicle with wide balloon tires to go up or down with a little more peace of mind.
