Q: I have one of these trimmers and the cover for the string broke. How do I get another one? by Dawn from Utah on May 21, 2011
A: Dawn - you can call WORX directly at 1-866-788-7394 to order replacement parts for your string trimmer. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I purchased one of these grasstrimmers...where do i get new string for it? by Hilda Coleman from Kentucky on April 25, 2011
A: We carry new spools for this. We are however not involved if you have the free trimmer line for life. This would have to be done through Worx. Otherwise the model of the trimmer line you are looking for would be a WA0004.

The Worx WG150.1 cordless string trimmer is a powerful trimmer and edger. It's gas-free, rechargeable and quiet! No loud engine, no fumes, no cumbersome cords. It’s just what you need to keep your grass and other growth on "the straight and narrow."
The Worx WG150.1 is powered by a rechargeable 18V Ni-Cad (nickel cadmium) battery that produces up to 7,800-rpm, so you’ll mow down tall grass and weeds in no time.
The Worx WG150.1 will also convert from a standard hand held string trimmer to a true walk behind edger – so it’s actually 2 tools in 1. The integrated edger wheel allows you to easily roll the trimmer along your patio or driveway to perfectly edge all the border areas of your lawn.
The Worx WG150.1 can trim up to a half-acre on a single charge. It starts up with the push of a button. And when you do need to recharge the battery, you will appreciate the 1-hour quick charger which will have you back to work in minutes not hours.
The Worx WG150.1 is the perfect tool to manicure your yard after you mow.

Worx DOESN'T Work
Purchased my trimmer about 2yrs. ago. One month after I purchased my Worx GT Trimmer (WG150.1 series) it wouldn't stay charged long enough to trim around my mail box. I've tried charging for 48hrs but didn't help. I think the Worx Co. owes those who purchased "that garbage" an apology or an upgrade, at the very least a battery that works. What a scam! STAY AWAY FORM ANYTHING THAT SAYS "WORX" ON IT!

Batteries do not perform
Same story as many others, good tool but bad battery performance even when new, ordered extra battery and one quit taking charge after just a couple of times and neither battery ever ran for more than 10 - 15 minutes.... Very dissatisfied with batteries which are expensive to replace and seems available only on line from Worx, Sears, Target...don't waste your money...at least not on 18 volt units.

This is the old line Dont believe the picture
I always loved my Worx GT trimmer, it created a sharp crisp line on the edge every time. Did not love the Ni-cad battery, but that's another story. Anyway, they have now replaced the nice double helix line with an extremely cheap knock off. It does not produce the same clean cut it used to. I have recently order 2x six packs of line only to get the cheap knock off. It has devalued what was once a quality product.

Bad Battery
Very disappointed. Worx owes me a battery that works! I purchased this trimmer about 2-12 months ago and it has never held a charge more than 20 minutes. That is not enough time to do a full yard.
Buyer beware!

Lousy Battery
Purchased the Worx Trimmer a year ago and like so many others who responded to the reviews the battery does not last. They die as fast as the second charge and they are not cheap. Even the new replacements I purchased died in short order. Great performance when the battery is charged but the battery performance is equally bad. I would not recommend purchasing a Worx product that runs on batteries.

Batterty does not hold a charge
I have had the trimmer for two years and have done what little trimming I could while the charge lasted. I was going to order another battery just to get more done until I read the reviews. Now I'm afraid of getting a battery that is even worse than the one I have.

Not Very Good
It does not cut through the taller grass around my trees or house. The battery is not strong enough and only stays charged for about 15 or 20 minutes, then I have to quit what I am doing and recharge it again, and again. Uses too much string. All in all, just very annoying and I wish I had spent the extra $100 on one more efficient.

Worx Battery Problems
I bought the Worx GT after I saw the TV commercial, and when I received it I was very happy to see how easy it was to use. That happiness did not last because after a few minutes it stopped working. After calling customer service they decided to send me a new battery. This one worked for about two uses then stopped.
After calling customer service again they sent me a charger that did not work. Now they want me to bring it to a place that is about 68 miles from my house. This is really a waste of money. I don't recommend it at all. You can get something much better for even less money.

MY Worx GT (10)
Purchased over a year ago. Any one purchasing this item be aware that it does not have the power to do the job that an electric or gas powered trimmer has. The only positive aspect is, it's good for the environment. Ah, the power of advertisement on TV. My mistake was not looking into the item more before making the purchase. If you plan on getting one of these, just ask someone that owns one, so you won't be surprised.

Worx String Trimmer Really Works
I bought the trimmer 3 years ago, had a little trouble with one battery to charge, found out that it wasn't connecting to the charger properly, check the terminals, make sure they are not bent, just straighten them and they will work. My 2 batteries lasted 2 years and still work some, but I did get 2 more last year.
I do have a large yard, I use it at my daughter's house, at my work place, they are used a lot. Next time I may purchase the lithium battery powered one just to have one a little lighter.

WORX GT 18v cordless trimmer
I am disabled and having difficulty trying to keep up with the yard. When I saw how much the product weighs, I bought it. The company has a known battery issue or they would have requested the battery back. Three batteries, two of which I bought work for thirty seconds after charging. They do not honor the two year warranty. Warning Do not by this product! Product does not work for long, customer service is non-existent and they do not stand by the product. They continually transfer you, leaving messages and email not much better and then basically tell you tough luck you missed the 90 DAYS to return your product. Rate Very Bad Product, Very Bad Customer Service, Very Bad Warranty! Do not buy, wasting your money.

It is not reliable
I bought the trimmer last year. Everything was OK. I was going to use it again this weekend, but could not get the battery charged any more. I put the battery on the charger, the right light was on for about 5 seconds, then off, and green light was on, but the battery was not charged. I just cannot believe this thing last for only less than one year. It is totally a waste of money and time. My recommendation is: just don't buy it.

Lawn Looks Great
I bought this a year ago and I use it all the time.
It works good, does the edging also with ease.
I read the instructions and this does all the yard trimming of grass without a gas unit in your ear and mix of fuel.
I am very happy to use this in my upkeep of my yard.
