It's basically a high-end TimeCutter model with a Briggs & Stratton engine and a stamped frame. We recommend this Toro Titan 54" zero turn lawn mower instead for two important reasons. First, it features a powerful and durable Kohler Courage engine. Secondly, the 10-gauge steel deck is welded instead of stamped. The extra durability will extend the life of the machine. The 54" version is a little more expensive, but it's worth the money. If money is no object, get the big 60" version with the Kawasaki engine. It's an awesome zero turn mower, but the price is out of most people's price range. Written May 14, 2009 Pleased with this machine By Mike from (Belton, MO) I just traded my Scag 48 inch walk behind and a Case tractor with a 60 inch deck for this Toro. I mow 2 housing subdivisions along with bare lots and common areas. It used to take me about 2 full days to mow it all, and at the end of the day I would be sore as could be from the Scag. I finished today in 5 hours, and there's not a sore bone in my body! I give it a four out five because there is not a lot of weight on the rear wheels, so when on banks or steep areas it's a little hard to stay straight- it may be just the tires. Overall I am very pleased with this machine. Written April 09, 2009 Shocked, stunned, and extremely happy By John from (Wilmington, OH) I traded in my Scag walk behind commercial 48" mower for this 54" 23 hp zero degree rider this year (09). My hope was to mow my lawn and my Father-in-law's lawn in under 4 hours. We both have a lot of acres, and it was taking 4-6 hours with my Scag. Well- after I mowed my lawn, and my father-in-law's, and my brother-in-law's, AND a 4 acre field I only had 2.9 hours on my mower! I was shocked, stunned, extremely happy with how much I could do in so little time. If you are looking for a great cut in a short amount of time, this is the mower!
