Amazing mower
This is my first zero turn, I bought it slightly used and I am very impressed so far, I've only had it a few days. I cut almost 2 acres of rough yard with tall thick grass. And it mowed through it with ease. I cut at least an hour off my mowing time. It leaves a nice even cut also, my yard looks the best it ever has.

Bad weld on mowing deck
Broke after only 3 hours of use. The weld on the deck height adjustment lever broke for no apparent reason. Had to take it off and have it welded. Warranty does not cover transportation to authorized repair shop, and I had no means to transport. I had to fix it myself.

My blades
This was probably my mistake, but the blades I thought I ordered were suppose to be for a "re-cycler" the mulching kit. Now I have 2 sets of blades that are not what I wanted. I have one set that I has not been opened, and would like to return them, and get the correct blades, paying any additional cost for the different blades, if I can. Please let me know how to proceed. As I said, I probably should have checked my order better! The order I made was "on time" and apparently what I ordered, so you did your part very well! Thank-you for the excellent service! I love the lawn-mower!

Great reliable mower!!!
I used this as a semi-commercial mower for two years. Worked great. The only thing I didn't like about it was the size of the deck chute. It broke off after a few months of use. No big deal. A new one was cheap. For a residential mower it goes above and beyond your expectations.

Great machine
I bought my Toro in Feb 2009. I cut roughly 3.5 acres with lots of landscaping and a pond in less than 2 hours and 20 minutes.
It took over 5.5 hours to cut using a 46 inch cut John Deere tractor-style mower.
This mower is extremely easy to operate; my two year old nephew knows how to use everything on it. I am 325 lbs and my wife is under 100 lbs and we both are comfortable while mowing.
The only problem I have is universal with all Zero turns, and that is that they have a tendency to slide in areas with slopes like near ponds- but I knew that before I purchased it.
I now cut several elderly couples' lawns that are about 1 acre. I am able to cut and weed-eat their lawns in under an hour.
I recommend this lawn mower to everyone unless you enjoy spending all day cutting grass.

Grass Eating Machine
I got my Z5030 50" mower last week. I now have my 38" tractor mower on the curb, for sale.
My lawn is over 2 acres and the Z5030 made grass cutting fun again.
It is fast, turns easy, and makes cutting heavy grass a joke. It cut my mowing time by 23's.
My neighbor wants to run it on his yard next week. I told him to go for it but beware, you make never want to run your tractor mower again.
The Toro is a Grass Eating Machine. It is a blast to cut the lawn. 30 minutes on a Z5030 and life is good! :-)
Thx,
Dr. G

A Zero Turn Really Is A Time Saver
I purchased my Toro Z5030 on 31 March 2009. It came off the delivery truck, we put some gas in the tank' and away I went.
It took a little over 45 minutes to cut my acre and a quarter lot. It would have taken 2 1/2 hours with my dead John Deere riding mower.
With a little practice at a much slower speed, I learned how to drive the Z5030. I guess I was operating at approximately 12 speed for 15 minutes and then I opened up the throttle and was cutting my lot PDQ!!!
I haven't had my new zero turn for long, however, it's one fine machine!
