Great For Zero Turn Mower
Great product for lifting a zero turn mower (TORO ZT 4220.)
Would never go back to a garden tractor type after using this mower. Cuts mowing time by 20 minutes and very EZ to learn to drive.
Bought a lift for zero turn types to do my maintanence and works great. A bit heavy to roll over grass to get to my patio, but necessary to lift a heavy mower.
A great Company ..Mowers direct !

I can't tell you all how happy I am to have gotten this mower. It makes cutting the grass fun & easy. I was afraid it would be hard to get into & out of tight spaces. But was I surprised as to how easy it is.
Thank You
Happy Mower

Great Mower, Under Powered Battery
We made it through 2 seasons just fine. The mower works well and is really fun to use. The family members actually fight over who is going to cut the grass! Now the bad news. As the engine is large (600cc) with a single cylinder it really takes a lot to turn it over and get it going. At the start of the third season the battery gave out and won't turn it over more than once unless the mower is warmed up. A battery should last more than 2 years on a $2,500 product! The warranty on the battery is only one year. I will buy a new one and hope for the best. I saw another reviewer mention that he installed a primer. I think this is a good idea and will likely do the same.

Love My Mulching Kit
I wish we had bought this last year. Easy to install, quieter mowing, cuts down on dust & debris, and the best thing is no more raking cut grass.

I like it very much except for a couple of things. Airing up front tires is very hard because of the tight angle of the valve stems. No gas tank drain or shut off valve. Fast forward speed is way too fast until I figured out how to adjust it, didn't see how to do that in the instructions
P.S. - shipping packing needs improvement, no protection on top side and the pallet it sits on is too low for pallet jack to go under. Most local delivery trucks have only pallet jacks to move stuff with not fork lifts. My mower had quite a bit of damage and you sent me parts to fix it with. thanks

Timecutter, Absolutely.
I was using a Craftsman 20 horse lawn tractor to mow 2 acres. It took 5 hours.
I now use a Toro Z4220 with the 22 horse Kawasaki V-Twin and it takes me under 2 hours. And the cut, control, and comfort is wonderful.
Enough said.

I'm The Crazy Wife That Ordered Z4220 & Cancelled Yard Service
With the economy getting worse I decided I would start back doing my own yard.
My husband was shocked when I told him what I had done. In 5 days the lawnmower arrived, and the crate was put in my garage.
Our neighbor came over & helped my husband put on the mulcher kit. My husband was the first to drive it (he was nervous) and then our neighbor took a turn.
While my husband was pulling his Mini into garage I decided... I WOULD TAKE IT FOR A SPIN. After about 20 feet I went over the bricks & hit my rose bush. Luckily, I didn't have the blades going and the deck was raised high.
I finally decided to get back on it that afternoon & rode around our front yard. It has been very hard for me to get used to the control arms, but I love the way it cuts.
My husband has been using it and I have to say the lawn looks as good (or better) than when we had our yard service. It should pay for itself in a year.
I have looked up about driving it, and a lot of people say look ahead about 10 to 20 feet. I know I will get used to it because I plan to drive it every weekend- I should get really good.
I RECOMMEND THIS MOWER & LOVE THE CUT!

Great Service
I called Mowers Direct because I had some questions about the Toro 4220 mower I wanted to order.
I talked with Ann, who was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything I asked. I ordered the mower by phone on Wednesday afternoon and it arrived Friday.
That's pretty good service from Illinois to Columbus, Ohio in just 2 days- I can't even get greeting cards delivered in town that fast.
After uncrating the mower, I mowed my grass and everything worked perfectly.
Thanks, Mowers Direct.com for a really great shopping experience!

This Mower Rocks!
I shopped around for months comparing and riding the various zero turn mowers. I had narrowed down my choices between a Husqvarna RZ4619 and the Toro Timecutter 4220. I decided to go with the Toro for two main reasons: 1) Dealers that warranty service Toro in my area, and 2) a Kohler vs. Briggs engine.
I'm hoping this mower proves to be reliable. I found it difficult to find reviews that comment on the reliability of this model. Consumer Reports ranked the 4200 highly, but when looking under "Brand Reliability" there was nothing for the Toro brand. I know that Kohler makes a great engine. I'm hoping that the stamped deck and EZT drive prove to be of good long term quality.
I received this model on July 2nd from MowersDirect.com. I uncrated it yesterday (July 3rd). Here are some comments regarding the setup experience:
a) Be sure to have someone help you to remove the mower from the pallet that it comes on. At 630 pounds, that's a lot for one person to do by themselves.
b) Setup was simple... mount the steering control bars, the seat catch wire, and battery.
c) Be sure to also check your tire pressure! I found my rear tires over inflated.. probably for shipping reasons. What was suppose to be 13 psi was more like 25+. Oh yeah... the front tire valves are a pain! Hard to get at when reading the tire pressure or inflating!
I mowed for the first time yesterday and it was great!
I have under half acre and this machine cuts moves great! It takes a little getting use to the steering, but I found it to be quite enjoyable. My wife also tried it but didn't ride it for long... she found it jerky (due to being nervous and learning for the first time).
Have a great 4th of July!
