I’ve owned this mower for three weeks.
If you’re picky about your lawn, would probably cut your lawn more often if it weren’t such a pain, and would love professional-like results, you’ve got to step up and buy this mower.
It will cut your mower time in half and the results are amazing.
The design of the Z5035 is sturdy and simplistic, so much so that it has a guy like me planning on doing all of the regularly scheduled maintenance and installing the recycler kit on my own.
Everything is “right there” easy to get to and keep clean. With my retired lawn tractor, I always farmed out the maintenance.
My only caution is this: If you have any sloped area that has a sharp turn involved (especially during wetter spring-time conditions) you have to be careful not to let the thing get away from you.
Because of the handling characteristics of hydrostatic drives and the weight distribution, some of the mower control can momentarily slip away. Think it through, you should be fine.
The fun part: I have a neighbor across the street that just purchased one of those expensive “tight-turning” bright green lawn tractors. Seeing him try to keep up is a scream.
The faster he tries to get the job done, the worse his lawn looks. When it comes to efficiency and quality of the cut, it’s not even close.
