Q: Todd, I had a WORX 24V 19" cordless mower which worked great for the last two years. However, this year, the battery isn't keeping a charge. I have since found out that the battery is about $175 (half the price of the mower itself) and that the warranty on the battery was only a year, while the mower warranty was two years. With all that said, my questions are 1) what is the warranty on the battery vs the mower and 2) how much does a replacement battery cost for this mower? by Mike from Virginia on March 31, 2012
A: Mike - Both the mower (Toro #20360) and the battery (#119-7060) have a two year manufacturers warranty. Should it become necessary to replace the battery, a new 36-volt battery assembly would run you $125 to $150 dollars. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Hello Tod. It says that this mower is for "flat" surfaces. My yard is hilly at parts. How would the Toro e-cycler do in a hilly yard?
by Rod from New Jersey on May 29, 2011
A: Rod - As long as you are pretty strong, the Toro e-Cycler will work fine in a hilly yard. The reason I say that is because this mower is a "push" mower, not a "self-propelled" mower, so you will be the one supplying the power to push this mower up the hills in your yard. This mower is about 20 pounds lighter than a standard Toro gas powered walk behind mower, but most folks choose a self-propelled mower to tackle mowing on hills or steep inclines - it's just a lot less work for the person doing the mowing. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Hello Todd. I have a Toro Recycler form the 1990's beleive it or not and didn't get a second battery until about 2 years ago. The model # is 20052/ Type E24. It has or is the bes mower i have ever had and soon to be 60. I'm still using my mower, the reason i'm writing you is in the handel that you push down its grey and it holds the cable. but my problem is where the cable connects to the peice of plastic it has broken off, there is nothing to hold the cable to the peice of plastic. Is There a reference gide that i can look at on the Toro web page. If this new mower is half as good as mine, you will have many happy coustmers. Thank you for your time. A: Thanks for your inquiry. You would want to contaft Toro tech support for this matter. You can reach them at 888-384-9939.
Q: Todd my wife wants to go "green" with lawn cutting by purchasing a battery powered mower. we are considering the Worxs 19" 36 volt model WG789. i am concerned it wont have enough power and am more in favour of a gas powred mower. our lawn is less than 10,000 sq.ft what is your recommendation? by Jerry Francis from Indiana on May 05, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. My recommendation if you want to "go green" would be the Toro ecycler model 20360. You pay a little more, but it is arguably the best electric mower you will find. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I have been looking to buy a Cordless electric mower, have read tone of reviews and articles, have come down to a few choices, the Toro e-cycle 20360, Black & Decker cm 1936, Recharge Mower PMLI-14 I can't seem to find much about The recharge Mower. And the worx cordless mower, what do you think is the best for run time, durability, and whatever you think about my choices, I use mulch settings, I like the ion battery, but don't know if that is a good mower. I do like the weight of the Recharge but not enough reviews. Thank You For Your Time Jenell by Jenell from Idaho on March 29, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. If you are in themarket for a cordless electric mower I would recommend the Toro e-cycler. It is as close to a conventinal moer as you will get without using gasoline. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: 2 questions;
1) Whats the best cordless mower? 2) Is cordless as good as gas powered for cutting power?
by Vince from New York on March 20, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. The best cordless mower we carry is the Toro e-Cycler. As far as the cutting power a gas powered mower is always going to have more power. by Todd, Product Expert
Toro's new 20360 e-Cycler cordless electric mower delivers both power and performance in an environmentally friendly package. The e-Cycler is built with the same high performance standards as Toro’s popular Recycler Series gas mowers.
A great choice for homeowners with typical urban-sized yards, this 36-volt rechargeable mower can take on a 7,500 square-foot lawn under normal mowing conditions in a single charge. Weighing in at only 77 pounds, it’s also lighter than most electric mowers, so anyone in the family should be able to operate it with ease.
Plus, there are no hassles with gas and oil like you have with a gas mower, nor do you have to worry about tangling up an extension cord, because this mower is cordless!
The new 20360 e-Cycler from Toro raises the bar in the electric mower category with its robust performance and surprisingly affordable price!

a mower too heavy
It does do a great job of cutting the lawns, but...Oh so heavy. My son mows for me, but even in his buff state he says so too! I wish I could get the same mower with self propelled, would make it so much easier.

Very nice mower
Just got this shipped direct to my home. Easy to assemble, charged over night and fired right up. It worked great on the tall wet grass. Just used it once but it worked great.

Runs great
I have had the toro 2030 about 3 weeks and love every thing about it. We took it out of the box, flipped the handle up, charged it and it was ready to go. Runs great, we love it. Would recommend to everyone.

Way underpowered and easily overheats
I'd like to write a good review for this mower, and admittedly it does mulch well if you don't cut too much, but the unit is severely underpowered. Also it is easy to overheat the motor while the 10 amp breaker never trips. You learn to never, never allow the motor to slow down, since the motor is totally enclosed fan cooled, and the fan doesn't move enough air unless its going at full speed. One thing I DO like is that it has simple controls, and with a brushed-permanent-magnet motor and zero electronics in the mower itself, it is delightfully simple and elegant. What a shame its so underpowered and there is no thermal overload like on the vast majority of other electric motors.

uh! oh!
I was hoping for the best.....unfortunately, when I plugged & recharged the mower, it never worked!!
The motor did not start! With great effort & time, I took it to the local authorized Toro shop to fix.
Apparently, an internal wire in the motor assembly was never attached at the factory (in Mexico?).
I pick it up later this week. I really hope it works and is able to cut my 13 acre lawn. Not too confident this is a long term cutting solution....but I'm still hopeful!

Happy with Electric Mower
I have had gas, diesel, electric and riding mowers but the E-cycler is my favorite. It does a nice job efficiently and quietly.
I do clean the deck after each use. I am 60 years old and the weight is no problem as wheels roll easily.
