Q: Will the model 20197 mower with blade over ride move on it own power when the blade is not turning. I am looking for a mower that can be moved on it own power and not have the blade turning
by Ray Swats from Virginia on April 26, 2011
A: This model would not be able to move on its own power without the blade in operation. This is going to be the case with all the mowers we are going to have with blade override. They would need the blade to be engaged for the drive to be engaged.
Q: What is the difference between the toro 20192 and 20197? What type of assembly is required by me once it is shipped? by Gary Rosen from New Jersey on March 27, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. The difference is that the 20192 is a 2010 model. The 20197 is the 2011 version of the 20192. The only assembly is unfolding the handle and tightening it into place. by Todd, Product Expert

Beautiful job!
I really grew tired of purchasing cheap mowers every couple years and having bad looking cuts on my lawn. Our grass grew pretty tall very early this year for Indiana. I was very leery that it may look bad and clumpy like it usually did. The mower had no power trouble and the finish cut looked beautiful. Could not believe it! The "super" bagger worked exceptionally well. It filled very quickly and left very few clippings. I am very glad at this point I purchased it. I live in a sub-division with pretty steep hills, and that was no problem either. Climbed up fine with no slippage or anything. The only thing I wished it had was a washout port.

Starts every time
This is the first lawn mower I have ever used that lives up to the hype of starting every time. It is a personal pace mower and I wish it could move a little faster. Toro even sent me coupons for five years of free blade sharpening at my local toro dealer. I especially like the fuel shut off switch which makes preparing for storage very easy.

Will not start
Forget Toro unless you like frustration. Would not start so taken in under warranty. It is apparently customary for them to blame the fuel -- which is not covered under warranty. Several times since letting a Toro "fix" it I have had a recurrence - and took it apart myself. None of these times was the fuel contaminated. Avoid a lawnmower without a choke or primer system!

Great, easy to use mower for the price
I have owned a variety of high end walk behind mowers and this is a great choice.
I have blue grass and I always bag it. I bought this Toro Super Nagger with Honda engine. This Toro is a great mower and does everything very well.
The engine always starts first pull and its simple, no throttle or choke to mess with so if the lady of the house is doing the mowing she can get it started and then you don't have to educate her about too much throttle when the engine sputters.
This mower runs full throttle or you hit the kill switch to stop it. Simple and effective; I thought that might be weird but really it's a no-brainer, nice feature.
The push the handle and walk feature is also nice as well and will allow the rear wheels to last a lot longer because it eliminates wheel spin when first starting out. It also is easier again for women to use as well. No shifting gears or getting it in-between gears and not knowing why it won't go.
It's simple- the faster you walk the faster it goes (to a point); you slow down and it slows down. It is also the easiest mower to stop and pull backwards because of this feature, you don't have to release the drive handle.
It has the lightest feel in your hands as well. So overall this Toro is my new favorite mower and I mow a lot. It is the easiest mower I have ever owned to operate in regards to starting, going forward, pulling backwards, slowly mowing around trees and using the grass catcher.
The grass catcher has a piece of slick plastic in the bottom of it and this makes it the easiest bag to dump grass out of. Here again a nice feature no matter your sex. I just wish it had an oil filter to extend engine life and also a foam prefilter over the paper air cleaner, but it is otherwise a great engineered mower and very simple to use and maintain.
It is my new favorite mower and I give it all 5 stars out of 5. I think if you are mowing in more severe conditions with lots of dirt that it might be wise to step up to the Toro commercial model, which I believe gives you an oil filter and pre-air cleaner.
This mower takes a little adjusting to and the first couple of times you mow you kind of have to reset your thinking on some of the items I mentioned above and think about how they have made this mower very safe and also very idiot proof to use.
The commercial Toro is $900 plus, so this is a great easy to use mower for the price.

Super Bagger 20192
The Toro Super Bagger 20192 is essentially the same mower as the 20194 model with the exception of the Blade Override System.
It still offers all the other great features: Personal Pace walking system which adjusts to your speed, a dependable Honda engine, a superior bagging system, and a 5 year, guaranteed to start, factory warranty.
The handles on this super bagger fold up with the tap of a lever for easy storage. The grass catcher only requires one hand to use and remove but if you would rather not bag your clippings, mulch or side-discharge them!
