| Lost Time |
| By Robert McMinn from (Little Rock, AR) |
At the end of the mowing season 2008, I bought a model 20067 (not in the drop down box for mower models.)
I bought it because I had been pleased with the Toro mower I had for 3 years that had begun to be self-propelled on only one wheel. I used it 1 time last year; and when I went to use it this year it would start, but then die after putting out a lot of black smoke.
I took it in for repair which took 2 weeks. (They had to order parts). After getting it back, it smelled of gas every time I walked by. I felt below the carburetor bowl and found it dripping gasoline.
I took it back and was called 3 days later saying it was ready for pick up. As I was loading it into the van, I felt below the carburetor bowl, and it was still dripping gasoline. They took it back and 3 days later it was repaired.
I had lost 3 weeks during prime mowing season so I asked Toro to add one month to the warranty. They politely refused.
The second week in September, the lawnmower would not start. I took it back to the same repair shop; two weeks later it was repaired. Now I have been without the mower for 5 weeks during mowing season.
It has been 2 weeks since the repair, and have been unable to mow because of rain. I hope it starts when the rain stops.

| I am impressed |
| By Jim from (Fenton, MO) |
I bought this mower in August of 09. It replaced a 12 year old Craftsman that was still running, but... Anyway, I checked several mowers and came across the Toro 20068. I decided on this Toro as the best all-around deal before the Craftsman bit the dust.
So, I've mowed with it 8-10 times . My lawn is essentially 90% Zoysia, so that means bagging. With the Craftsman I was getting about a half lawn bag of clippings per mow in August. With the Toro that jumped to almost a bag and a half the first few mows, and yes- at the same height setting.
The Toro just does a better job of sucking up and removing the clippings, and yes- the lawn looks much better.
The electric start is nice but I don't use it exclusively since it is an easy, one-pull start (I'm 67 years young). As for the blade clutch- this is the cat's meow! With the blade disengaged starting is so easy, even in tall grass. And when emptying the bag, just leave 'er running... it's great, just re-engage the blade and go.
I was skeptical going from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive but that hasn't been a problem. And with the
"Personal Pace" system, I just love it. It's so maneuverable, and so much easier- especially as the bag fills.
Drawbacks (nothing's perfect): I wish the bag was bigger. It holds about two thirds of what the Craftsman held. And the rear door isn't the greatest design, it has little pockets that fill up with clippings making a mess, but I fixed that with a simple cover.
Other than that, it's the perfect mower. |

| Easy to use & fully loaded |
| By Jessica from (Lockport, IL) |
I bought my Toro lawn mower this season, not knowing if I really needed the personal pace, wash out deck, electric start AND the blade override system. After using it a few times, I'm glad I decided to get this mower.
The personal pace is great, it keeps up with me, I don't have to slow down for the mower. The blade override is a must for anyone- it's so convenient to be able to have the blade stop and not the mower. I can move objects, limbs, etc. out of the way without having to restart the mower. How cool!
Starting the mower is as easy as starting a car, no more pull-start which is great, I won't miss that at all. Plus, when I'm done with my yard, I use the deck washout port. Just connect the hose and it washes out the deck.
Everything on this mower is easy to use, even the 3-in-1 connections are easy. Switching from mulching to bagging to side discharge takes seconds. Choose whichever method you like or change your mind. It doesn't matter cause it's so easy.
I would highly recommend this mower to my family, friends, and anyone who is looking for a great lawn mower. |
