Q: I have a pond with steep banks and a flat trail around it. I would like to ride safely on the flat trail and use the pull behind at a sharp side angle to the waters edge six feet down and to the side. Is the draw bar long enough and can the engine work at a sharp angle?

A: Jon - it is not recommended that you run any of the Swisher tow-behind mowers on a bank or slope that is greater than 15 degrees of slope. All of these mowers have a "splash" type lubrication system, and running them on slopes more severe than 15 degrees may cause the oil to not fully lubricate all the engines parts.

Q: can this mower be puled buy a rider mow or does it need the atv for the speed or what

A: Darryl - yes, the Swisher tow behind trail mowers and trail cutters can be pulled by a riding mower. You would need a riding mower with at least a 13hp engine. It is recommended that these mowers not be towed at speeds greater than 5 mph.

Q: what is the difference between a trial mower and a rough cut mower?

A: The difference is how we describe it would be a trail mower with us is really meant for cutting large areas of normal growing grass. If you have a mixture of thick weeds and overgrown grass and thicket, then a rough cut mower would be suggested.
