Q: How fast can you run with a Swisher tow-behind mower?
by Dale Hupe from Kansas on March 21, 2012

A: 5 mph would be the max speed for just about all pull behind mowers. This is due to safety, but also to ensure quality of cut.
by Jose, Product Expert

Q: I have a pond with steep banks and a flat trail around it. I would like to ride safely on the flat trail and use the pull behind at a sharp side angle to the waters edge six feet down and to the side. Is the draw bar long enough and can the engine work at a sharp angle?
by Jon Swanson from Illinois on October 29, 2011

A: Jon - it is not recommended that you run any of the Swisher tow-behind mowers on a bank or slope that is greater than 15 degrees of slope. All of these mowers have a "splash" type lubrication system, and running them on slopes more severe than 15 degrees may cause the oil to not fully lubricate all the engines parts.

Q: What is the lowest and highest cutting heights? how heavy and tall a stand will it cut through. What is the outside dimension

by Rob Davidson from Idaho on July 04, 2011

A: Rob - the Swisher T11544 Trail Mower is height adjustable from approx. 1-1/2" to 4-1/2". The Swisher 44 Trail Mower is designed to produce a quality finish cut on your lawn or property. It is not intended to clear brush or cut saplings, so this won't cut through heavy or tall stands of grass any better than a normal lawn mower would. The total width on this mower is approx. 55-1/2".

Pull Behind 2 Wheeled Finish Mower
I couldn't decide whether to buy a rider mower or a pull-behind for the ATV. The rider is definitely easier to align with your cutting path than a pull-behind. The comfort of sitting on my ATV is better. Tight turns and getting close to trees and stuff is better on the rider.

The mower deck on the pull-behind is set pretty high for what I'm mowing, but a lot of unseen objects tend to fly from underneath the deck pretty hard. The deck is only 44" but does tend to dig into the ground... more

Owner Of Double D Tractor Works
I have only used it once so far as I just took delivery of it two days ago. So far it needs two upgrades. I have to lengthen the swing arm by 16" before it will close to a 6" over lap of the mid mount mower I have on the tractor. Second is to come up with some sort of gauge to show me where I am at on the height adjustment? I feel that a simple device of some sort good have been included!! I will be using it again tomorrow on a 6 acre mowing job which is why I bought it in the... more
