I bought this trimmer and so far I have used it once. There was no problem with starting right up, and the 4 cycle engine uses regular gas.
I had no problem cutting grass and small weeds. I cut down heavy weeds up to .25 inches thick using the 0.095 string that came with the unit, but it used up a lot of the string.
I ordered 2 spare "Tap & Go" Heads, and the new heads are larger. The new "Tap & Go" Head came with a special 0.105 string. Where the original head had 20 feet of string, the NEW Head has only 7 feet of thicker string.
When I replace the string in the new head I think I can load somewhere between 10 and 12 feet of 0.105 string.
The attached Picture shows the original "Tap & Go" Head and the larger, new "Tap & Go" Head- they have the same part number.
Pro's: Easy starting, uses regular gas, does a very good job of trimming, has a strong, powerful engine, and is well constructed.
Con's : Only 7 feet of string in the new head, and you need to check the oil level frequently.
Would I buy this String Trimmer again: YES.
Would I recommend this String Trimmer to all that ask: YES I bought this trimmer and so far I have used it once. There was no problem with starting right up, and the 4 cycle engine uses regular gas.
