Q: Todd: In my previous question, I indicated I own a Snapper 2811523BV (28") 11.5HP Hi-Vac Rear Engine Riding Mower. I bought this mower in July 2007.
On the chassis, is the following data: Model #2811523BV Part No. 7800102 Serial No. 2000834646
I would like to buy the Single Bag Grass Collector, Model 7600101. Will it fit my mower? If not, please recommend some appropriate grass collectors. by Wayne from Oklahoma on May 26, 2011
A: Wayne - the model 7800102 from model year 2007 would use a #7060943 single bag grass collector. We do not carry this model. The #7600101 that we carry will not fit on your mower. You would need to get the #7060943 bagger from your local Snapper dealer. by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Todd: I am the proud owner of a Snapper 2811523BV (28") 11.5HP Hi-Vac Rear Engine Riding Mower. I bought this mower in July 2007. I would like to by the Single Bag Grass Collector, Model 7600101. Will it fit my mower? by Wayne from Oklahoma on May 21, 2011
A: Wayne - the 2007 Snapper 2811523BV rear engine rider comes up as a model 7084940. If this is your model, then the 7600101 single bag grass collector will NOT fit your mower. A Snapper 7084940 rear engine rider requires a #7060943 single bag grass catcher. by Jose, Product Expert
Q: My snapper manual shows the part # 6-0943 for my 2004, 28" rear engine rider model 281223BVE. Will the 7600101 fit my mower and do I need to order mounting brackets for rear bag or chute attachment? by Mark from Connecticut on May 09, 2011
A: Mark - the 7600101 bagger will not fit on a 2004 model year Snapper rear engine riding mower. by Jose, Product Expert
Q: I have an older model 3311X6S snapper, do you have a bagger replacement for my model by Ed Buresh from Michigan on May 09, 2011
A: We are not going to have a bagger replacement unless you have a 2009 or newer. Sorry, we don't have access to the stuff we have not carried, and we just started carrying the Snapper Rear Engine Riders.
Q: I have a Snapper rear engine Series 23 Model# 2812523BVE riding lawn mower. It was purchased in 10/2006. Will this 7600101 bagger fit on my mower? by Phillip H. from Texas on May 07, 2011
A: Phillip - I can't say for sure if this bagger will fit your mower or not. I would need to have the 7-digit model number off your mower. This bagger does not fit all pre-2008 models, but it will fit certain models. Your best bet is to find the 7-digit model number of your mower, or the serial number of your mower, and contact Snapper tech support at (800) 935-2967. They could tell your for sure which bagger you need for your specific mower. by Jose, Product Expert
Q: I have the Snapper 28" hi-vac riding mower. Will the 7600101 bagger work with the 12.5hp motor? And what is the spec of the bagger? My model # is 2812523BVE? serial#2000779776 by Chris from Illinois on May 01, 2011
A: Hi Chris - yes, the 7600101 single bag grass collector will fit your Snapper 2812523BVE rear engine rider. This bagger will hold 5 bushels of grass clippings and has a "soft sided" grass collector. by Jose, Product Expert
Q: I have the Craftsman Model# 7800669 28" 12.5 Riding Mower and was told Snapper products work with this mower as it is the same. Will this grass catcher work with it. by Randy from South Carolina on April 03, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. This bagger will not work with your Craftsman mower. It is only meant for Snapper brands. by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Does the single bag catcher mfg. no. 7600101 fit the craftsmans/snapper 28" mower? by Norwood Jackson from Florida on March 25, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. This bagger will not fit a Craftsman model. by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Is this everything I need to convert my mulcher snapper to a bagger. Do you sell the aerator that also attaches to this snapper model 2811523BV? by CHARLIE LEIKAUF from Florida on March 11, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. This item comes with everything you need to convert your mower to a bagger. However, your mower must meet the following compatibiity requirements: Fits 2009 and newer Snapper HI-VAC rear engine riders (28"/33") Fits selected Snapper standard deck rear engine riders (28") Does NOT fit Snapper RE-series rear engine riders Does NOT fit Snapper standard deck rear engine riders (30"/42") If your mower does not meet some of these requirements the bagger will not fit the mower. We do not carry the aerator attachment.
A little difficult to put together due to the very poor directions. I am a builder and it still took me 45 minutes to assemble. The only drawback is there’s no handle on the bottom of the bag. 5 bushels of clippings can be very heavy, so when you flip the bag to empty, it would have made sense to sew a handle to the bottom of the bag for something to grab on to, to help dump the clippings. Over all though, a really nice and well built bag.

Single Bag, Grass Collector
I'm eighty four years old, and I had to assemble the bits and pieces to make thing look like something. Well,
it works good. I do believe I should get a 50% refund for assembling the bagger. .

Kind Of A Pain
The bag is too small for my 1/3 acre lot. It's pretty much a limitation of the size of the mower, but I had to stop to empty the bag 8 times(!) last weekend while mowing, which is just unmanageable. If I knew this beforehand I would not have purchased the bagger.
I also found it very difficult to put together. I'm a hobby woodworker and have put together all kinds of stationary tools from all over the world, so I'm used to poor instructions, missing parts, and lots of head scratching. Still, this was unusually challenging and I still don't see how to get the rear deflector on without drilling all new holes. I'm thinking that if I were to get that deflector on and it keeps more clippings in, I'd be changing the bag even more, so maybe it'll just stay off.

Great Bagger!
I am glad I purchased the single bagger system. It is easy to empty. It's not that heavy- even though it holds a lot.

Best Mower I Ever Had
I decided to shop around for a new riding mower but I didn't want the "tractor type". I found the Snapper Rear Engine 28" High Vac on line at Mowers Direct.
The best decision I made was to buy this mower and from Mowers Direct. It was delivered on a truck just a few days after I ordered it, and it came in perfect condition. The driver was very friendly and even helped us get it off the truck.
I assembled a few parts on the mower, added gas and some oil and it started up first try. The instructions said the battery needed charging but it seemed fully charged to me.
I owned a Honda RE before this one, but the Snapper beats it by a mile. I mowed my 8" high lawn full of leaves for the first time and it didn't balk at it at all. I'm sold on Snapper.

I'd give Mowers Direct 5 stars for their quick delivery and great website.
The bagger itself is a 3 star. It won't suck up tall grass without dropping piles of it. The assembly directions for this are worthless. Even the pictures don't help much.
I love the Snapper mower. It gets around my 2 1/4 acres just great. If it gets stuck and I am patient, it eventually digs itself out but Snapper missed on the bagger- especially the instructions.
MD RESPONDS: Please feel free to call the folks at Snapper Tech Support, toll free, at (800) 935 2967 for advice on getting the best performance from your bagger.

Mowers Direct-great/snapper Bagger-so,so
I'd give Mowers Direct 5 stars for their website and quick delivery. I'd give Snapper 0 stars for the directions that came with this product. The absolute worst directions I've seen...EVER! Even the pictures don't help. You have to "feel" your way through the assembly. Parts list: worthless.
The bagger itself is just okay but it will not pick up (without dropping) tall grass or grass that's even a little wet. I love my Snapper mower. It gets around my 2 1/4 acres with no problems and if it gets stuck in sand, I just have to be patient and it eventually crawls its way out.
I was hoping the bagger would be as impressive as the mower itself. It isn't.
MD RESPONDS: You may want to give the folks at Snapper a call, toll free, at (800) 935-2967 to see if they have any tips on improving the performance of the bagger.

Don't Buy It Without Trying It First -very Poor Design
I made my decision to buy based on Snapper's reputation and through Mower Direct based on the ease of their site. Those were mistakes on both counts. The order process was fine and the product was received on time - although in a crate and on a pallet. So plan on two hours work just to get it to assembly stage. The Instruction Manual is almost useless, as Snapper makes changes without updating the manual, leaving you guessing about parts and assembly steps.
By far, the WORST feature of this unit is the blade engagement lever. It is a metal rod about the diameter of a pencil that is positioned below the driver's right leg and about 50 pounds of torque is required to engage it. Almost impossible to maneuver unless you are a contortionist. Very poor design and a major problem, as you must repeatedly disengage/re-engage the blade while mowing since it will not go into reverse with the blade turning.
As you may have sensed, I am NOT at all pleased pleased with the product and made the effort to contact Mowers Direct and tell them I am not pleased. They suggested that I call Snapper directly to discuss it, so I did. After spending about 10 minutes with a tech looking up the specs (initially for the wrong mower), his only reply to me was that this was the same design they have always used and it is not their problem if I find it difficult to use. Well, good for Snapper - they always use this same ergonomically poor design and good for Mowers Direct - they passed me off to Snapper, and I have a go-cart. Ultimately I spent over $1500 and stated to Mowers Direct IN WRITING that I did not like they product, had difficulty using the product and wanted to know my options - but Mowers Direct NEVER EVEN REPLIED. I can neither suggest the product nor Mowers Direct due to their absolute lack of reply and follow up with a customer who has stated absolute dissatisfaction with the product.

My New Snapper Rider And Bagger
I love my 28" cut, 12.5 hp Snapper rider. It is just the right size for my yard. I like the single bagger, but it is so big, it gets pretty heavy and is hard to dump in barrels without a lot falling on the ground. I would rather have had the double bagger except the cost is so much more. Also I did not realize that there would be so much to assemble on the rider itself. It took quite awhile to assemble and the 6 page instructions were not very clear.
I am still very pleased with Mowers Directs fast and friendly service. And I luv, luv, luv my Snapper Rider!

Another Good Story
I ordered the Snapper 28"/33" rear single bagger attachment in July of 2011 and I was pleasantly surprised at the speediness of the service I received. And the question I posed to the staff, they were ready on the spot with the answers I needed.
All in all it was a very, very good experience with Mowers Direct, and I will definitely order from them again and again.
