Greenworks 25302 G-max 40v Lawn Mower
We first saw Greenworks a GIE and became quickly impressed with their large assortment of lawn and garden tools. Not only do they have a large assortment of lawn and garden tools, but they seem to be pretty good quality. As for this mower, I would have to say it seems solid except for the handle. Now the handle should last you, but it does feel flimsy. As for mowers this mower is very quiet. To start the mower, just press a button and pull on the handle. There you go, no gas, no spark... more

Only Lasted 2 Seasons
I really like the concept but cannot say I will buy the twin force 40 volt again. I do not have a large yard, I am not hard on my equipment, and I only mow once a week during the warm months. Within the first year the welding on the bagger broke. The blades quickly became dull and leave a line in the middle of the cut.

I bought the Greenworks trimmer to use the same batteries, but now the charger is spotty. Finally I pulled it out for the first mow of this season and halfway through... more

Terrible Mower
This thing gets "tired" and just throws a flashing set of battery lights when it "feels" that mowing for more than 20 mins is too much. I decided this year to buy the Honda gas mower to replace this ecological "gem". Not wanting to work definitely saves the environment!
Cons: Unreliable, Low Quality

Matt,
Thank you for emailing us. I would recommend calling the manufacturer directly. They have a 4-year warranty on this mower, which will cover the batteries. And they can help you resolve any other issues. Here's Greenworks' phone number: 888-909-6757

Good Performance By Both Batteries And Charger
This machine does what it promises. Treat it right and it will treat you right with dependable performance. I have a good size urban yard and it was a pleasure to mow my lawn 35 times during the 2013 season including picking up, mulching and bagging fall leaves. It is a push mower but very light weight and handles easily. The 40 volt ion battery powered twin blades seem to be a good feature and I like it. Don,t expect this residential machine to do a top job on your hilly, rocky hay... more

Can't Get Parts
I bought a dual blade Greenworks electric lawn mower late last August. Used it twice and found there was something wrong with the motor as it was overheating. Took it in to the dealer authorized to repair Greenworks mowers. It was there for almost six months and still he was not able to get a new motor - still under warranty. They kept promising they were sending it. Finally now in Feb 2014 I took it back to Canadian Tire and got my money back. I will not buy another product from this... more

Very Nice
I bought this mower at Lowes in North Carolina. I have had no problems with it. Very light, powerful and dependable. Looks awesome, neighbors are very curious, and are always asking about it.

Perfect For Small Lawns
I used to spend 2-1/2 hours cutting grass in the country on a zero turn mower. Now on a 60x120' canal lot I wanted a small push mower and picked a battery powered unit. There's no gas to store no checking oil levels just charging batteries when I'm done cutting. This mower needs to be cleaned every use since spring grass has more moisture but so does any mower I've owned. It's been a short time I have had this unit but so far no complaints.
Pros: Quiet, Easy To Use, Light Weight, I'd Buy It Again
Cons: Push Handle Foam

Lawn Never Looked So Good
2nd. Season on the BEST Little mower I ever had...Best for LAWNS (Not the "Back Fourty")....Blades MUST be kept SHARP as a knife - easy to do with a "Stone" just UN-plug the "Safety Plug" and don't even remove the blades....

Really works as a "Mulcher" and better for the grass too - ALWAYS re-charge a Lithium Battery - never store dis-charged...

Has been extremely dependable - Nothing Broken or worn out - hope there is SERVICE and parts when I need them though?
Pros: Quiet, Light Weight, Easy To Use, Features

20 Inch Twin Blade Mower
I'm on my second year with this mower. My property is 125 feet in the back, 100 feet to the front, and 80 in the front. The property is flat. I love the mower, it's light and easy to push. No maintenance, love that. I keep the batteries and charger inside all year as I live on Long Island, New York. I have two batteries, one is 146Wh and the other is 73Wh. The first year I could do the entire lawn with power to spare. On my second year of mowing my 146Wh battery will do about 65... more
Pros: Quiet, Easy To Use, Light Weight, Reliable
Cons: The 73wh Battery Is Dieing After A Year And A Half

Disappointed
This mower doesn't have enough power to pick up tiny leaves in the lawn. I am concerned as to how it will work when fall arrives.

I am not going to mow my lawn short so that it will have more suction (as the book suggests).

I always mow on high setting in summer to save on a watering and keep grass looking better in our heat. If it doesn't pick up fall leaves it will be returned.
Pros: Quiet, Easy To Use, Light Weight, Easy To Store

Light weight, long run time, best clippings collector I have ever had. Love the multi-speed transmission that gets through the rough patches and then throttles back down to save power.

Bad Design
Deck is supposed to raise or lower with five settings. It actually tilts in front and rear stays at one height. That means the blades cut with a forward pitch causing only half of the blade to cut.
Pros: Quiet, Easy To Use, Light Weight
Cons: Expensive, Bad Design

Clarence,
Clarence,

This seems to be a possible defect. The mower comes with a 4 year warranty and we would be happy to help you in this situation as this would not be normal operation of use. Please give us a call and we can see if this can be trouble shot or if something else needs to be done.

Flap
I like the mower. The only problem is that the flap along the back has a dip in middle, causing it to drag on grass and leave a line. I cannot see a way to tighten or remove it. I guess it's there to allow grass to be mulched. Otherwise, all is fine and easy to use.

Bought Mower Edger And Trimmer
Bought three green works items because of the interchangeability of the batteries.have'nt used the the hedge trimmer yet. The mowers works great w/ plenty of power to do my lawn, approx. 2000sf. It mulches or bags very well. It's also light and easy to push and maneuver. The trimmer edger is awkward to handle for me maybe because I'm a lefty but I haven't found a comfortable way to use it yet. I'll keep it because of the batteries but would not recommend it as a solo purchase
Cons: Difficult To Use, Not For Lefties
