Why Did I Wait So Long?
I just turned 63 and I wanted a mower that didn't wear me out trying to just get it started. I didn't want rechargeable batteries either because well you have to keep recharging them, and items with rechargeable batteries never seem as powerful to me. So I bought this Greenworks corded mower. Why did I wait til I was 63 to find a way to almost enjoy mowing?!

It took less than 5 minutes to get it out of the box and set up, 1 second to start it, and I had the whole yard done, front and... more

Horrible Quality
Brought the 13 AMP Greenworks in the fall of 2015, thought I would try electric since I moved into a house with a small yard. Worked great out of the box. Mowed twice this spring 2016 and on the second cutting it just stopped running. Checked it out and on the blade side of the electric motor all of the motor tabs that run between the air holes had broken.

It appeared as the motor housing was made of bad metal. I did not send in my warranty card because I thought I purchased a good mower,... more

If You Are Thinking Of An Electric Mower, Your Search Is Over...
I upgraded to this model from the 10 amp 16" I have had since 2009 (still works like the day I bought it) because my new home has different thicker grass. NO MORE RAKING. Grass was perfect when finished and never struggled with this thicker grass.

I was finished in more than half of the time it took me to finish it with my older model. I have not used the side discharge or the bag, and probably never will. Remember you should only cut a third of your grass off at a time. (if it's 3... more

My #1 Investment
This is the second one of these mowers I have purchased and I love it. I am a 63 year old widow and have a lot to mow. I am a high school secretary, working 5 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to whenever! I mow my yard and my 81 year old widowed mother-in-law's yard.

It takes me about 15 hours to mow both yards. I mow just about every evening when I get in from work, if it isn't raining. I could not make it without this little lawn mower. It is the best investment I have ever made. The... more

Seems A Little Underpowered
took for test run last weekend. basically knocking down dead grass from winter. i was using the mulching plug at the time. seems to struggle with the thicker grass which was dead at the time and makes me wonder how it will do with green grass. may just use the discharge next time.
Pros: Easy To Store, Quiet
Cons: Power

Still Very Pleased
I have previously given a review of the 25112. I am still very pleased. However, the cord holder is too narrow and tends to hang up in a crevice at the edge of the horizontal bar, when the mover is rotated 180 degrees at the end of a run. (Works OK when turning the other direction.)

The problem is corrected with a larger holder. See attached photos. I use a large clamp. When closed around the bar, the resulting hole is large enough to slid from one side to the other and the clamp wide... more

Electric Committment
I am committed to an electric lawnmower. I want to aid in minimizing imported petroleum and gas engines require annual maintenance and gasoline storage.

I made the change several years ago to an 18" battery-powered lawnmower. It was under-powered and could not successfully operate in damp or heavy grass.

This mower and a 14-3 electric cord cost approximately half the price of a similar-sized battery-operated mower. My research indicated that the 21" corded mower -... more

Bucket Cord Storage
I just bought the 13 amp mower and it seems to run fine. When reading previous reviews I saw that someone has pictures of the electric cord coiled into a bucket. I suggest a modification to that which works well.

Rather than a round bucket (which gives you "loops" when you pull out the cord), I use an oblong tub and lay the cord into the tub in a "figure-eight" pattern. When done this way, the cord comes out of the tub with no loops. Instead, the cord comes out in a... more

Factory Service Leave A Lot To Desire
I purchased the Greenworks 25112 mower in May 2013. In July of 2013 while cutting my grass, the mower stopped. I called the 800 number of the manufacturer. After a number of calls I finally reached a live voice and was told the required part would immediately be shipped and would be at the repair shop early the next week. I waited an additional week and called to check if the mower was ready. The part was not shipped. The repair shop then went online and checked the status. Seems the parts have... more

Buyer Beware
Got to use my 25112 for one year until it stopped working this week with an apparent short. Greenworks customer service first sent me to a service provider in my area who immediately informed me that they had severed their contract with Greenworks as it was a horrible company to do business with. Another call to Greenworks got me the promise of a replacement mower, not the same model as it has been discontinued, probably because the 13amp motor is prone to burn outs. If the replacement which is... more

So far all very good news!
1. Ordered mower on-line on Sunday night - arrived Tuesday night. Wow.
2. Well packaged and super easy to assemble. Was pleasantly surprised by cam locks on handle which make folding the handle in half for storage very convenient.
3. For an electric mower it is surprisingly light weight.
4. Easy turning and maneuvering with large rear wheels.
5. Cutting height adjustment is incredibly easy!
6. Cut 6" tall grass without bogging down or grass clumps.

An Ok Mower
The service from Mowers Direct so far has been excellent. The mower arrived in two days, the box had been handled roughly by the courier, but the mower was in perfect condition.

I hadn't given it any thought but I think I transferred my memory of my parent's electric mower from the 70's to this one. The old one in my memory had a push system that allowed the operator to simply swing the handle from one side to the other to reverse direction. That was slick, this one is a bit more of a chore.more

Wrong Capture Bag
Overall I am very satisfied with the mower. It has the power and maneuverability i had hoped for.

However, the capture bag was a Ryobi bag (won't hang on back as directions state) and not a greenworks bag. I reported the problem worked with a couple of service techs to make sure that I wasn't missing a step/ overlooking the hanging procedure. Nope -just wrong bag. I have waited for nearly two weeks and have not received bag.

Thus: product good -- service poor.

Surprised And Delighted
After many years (and many mowers), and much frustration with trying to find repair facilities for those mowers, I finally looked into electrics. I decided on the GreenWorks.

I have been nothing but delighted with this mower. It is so easy to adjust the cutting height...just one lever does it. I was frankly surprised at how well this mower mulches the clippings...much better than any gas mower I have ever owned.

Probably the best thing about it, though, is how well it bags. The... more

Probably The Best...but?
I've been mowing with a gas push mower for 18 years, but for at least 12 years I've been searching and hoping for something more sensible than these nasty, maintenance hogs that give folks only up to 22" path. From my experiences with lawn tractors, it gets even worse and has such an up-front cost to it, I wouldn't even consider buying one and using one on my 1/2 acre lot. Mowers with a larger cutting path, i.e. Graves 24" are over double the cost even in the most basic form.

Great Mower
I am very happy with my purchase from Mowers Direct. The price was the best I could find and came with free shipping.

The mower arrived in just a few days and there was no assembly needed other than extending the handle and attaching the mower bag.

Best Electric Mower For The Price
My old 18" Black & Decker 12 amp electric finally gave up the ghost and I spent days researching new mowers and reading hundreds of reviews until I finally decided on this Greenworks model.

I have to say that it has completely surpassed my expectations and is probably the best mower I've ever owned - gas or electric. It has only one more amp than my old mower, but what a difference in power and performance.

Everything on this model is designed for ease of use from the one touch... more

Bad Quality Products
Had this mower since 2012 and it just quit on me a week ago. I have a small yard. This is still under warranty but they make you pay for shipping so its most likely not worth shipping as it will cost much. Very pissed off, what a waste of money, will never buy from here again.

Amy,
I apologize for your frustrations however, we do not have say in the repair or warranty of the Greenworks units as they deal with their warranty work and issues directly. I will forward this onto Greenworks as unfortunately I am unable to offer assistance with a unit purchased 3 years ago.

Excellent Mower! Rates A 10 Out Of 10!!!!
This Greenworks 25112 mower is a real step-up from my B&D (it did last 11 YEARS though!). The QUIET! is amazing it's sturdy but lightweight.

12 amps is plenty of power, the wheel adjust can be done fast with one finger, the big wheels in back allow easier motion & turns, and the fold-up works great for storage and transportation!

I've only used it 3 times so far but it rates a 10 out of 10!!!! And, thanks for the quick buy online and fast shipment!!!

Not A Happy Camper!
Bought this mower a couple of months back. Have used it less than 10 times. The first couple of mows were great. Then on the 3rd or 4th mow, after turning it off to move from the side to the front lawn, it wouldn't restart. Had to leave it for more than 30 minutes before it would restart. Yes, we checked the cord, the plugs, we even tried it without the bag (which strangely seemed to work last mow, but not this time!). For the record, we have a very small lawn. I have no idea what else to try... more

South Florida lawns in the rainy season seem to grow by the hour! This mower is easy to operate and own.

The best review is I no longer have to badger my son to mow the lawn. Sporty cool design makes the neighbors jealous; lowering our carbon footprint helps us feel better about not contributing more to global warming.....

Oh I forgot... It plowed through the overgrown st. Augustine grass NO PROBLEM!!! Get this mower- it rocks.

High Altitude Wildland Lawn
I live in Woodland Park, CO at an altitude of 8500 feet. I have a third of an acre (approx.) of uneven lawn made up of various weeds, some grass, rocks, sticks and pine cones; and filled with aspen, spruce and pine trees.

I bought this mower because it is electric (gas mowers and high fire danger don't mix very well) and reputed to be powerful. It arrived ahead of schedule, well packed and ready to go.

It chewed through weeds over a foot high in one pass and, because I set it to its... more

I thought I'd try buying a mower on the Internet - what the heck, it was top-rated and not offered in our local stores.

Everything went perfectly! Delivered promptly, worked right out of the box, nothing broken, all parts present.

The mower itself lives up to the ratings - a worthy replacement for my previous 20+ year electric. Looking forward to many years of use.

All in all, a five-star experience.

Worked Out Really Well
We had a manual reel mower that was OK for our old postage stamp lawn, but was not going to work when we moved to a .22 acre lot with a fair amount of lawn. I'm too "green" (and lazy) to hassle with the fumes and maintenance of gas, and wasn't sure I wanted to deal with batteries, either. So corded it was.

This mower has worked out really well so far after a couple of uses. Our house is basically right in the middle of our lot, so a 100' cord gets me everywhere I need to go. ... more

Excellent Mower W/ Super Fast & Safe Delivery
I have used my mower for two months now and it has performed as well as my Honda 6.5 hp from Sears. It took a little time to get used to using an extension cord but now that I have a routine down, and a set path, it is no trouble to manage a 100ft and a 50ft cord. I use the 50ft cord as an extension for the back part of my yard that extends beyond 100ft.

Greenworks Mower
This is my first electric mower, after the wife insisted that we go green and cut down on the emissions. I looked into battery powered ones, but they seem to be a few years away from cost and performance optimization. So far, the mower has been great, with the major issue being me trying to figure put how best to mow the yard without interference from the cord.

The power is there, and it's quiet and easy to clean. I won't go back to gas (and not just because she won't let me) as I like... more

Okay, I am the grey-haired lady down the street. My late husband rode his Snapper for years, but I just can't master the oil, gas, year-end flush, etc. So now that I have to do my yard I got the idea to get an electric mower...being the tech savvy old girl I am, I looked online, read reviews and here I am with a GreenWorks. Just What I Was Looking For
I've had so much trouble all my life trying to use gas powered mowers I thought I'd try other options. I have a reel mower which is nice since it is so light and my yard is basically a big hill, but it only really works if I mow my lawn twice a week (I don't mow my lawn twice a week).

I decided to get an electric mower for getting "caught up" and it works perfectly. I was essentially able to use it right out of the box. I got a corded one because I didn't want to deal with needing... more

Very Good Mower. Highly Recommended.
So far I have only set it up (easy) and Have only used it once to mow (quite). Spring is really early I n Arizona this year and it surprises me that the grass is not growing as fast as it usually does out here.

So far it is a good machine and I am quite pleased with the way it mows. I like the idea that I can fold it up and store it in my vinyl garden shed. Could not do that with the gas mower.

Lacks Power
This mower is super light and requires no assembly. You just pull it out of the box, lift the handle and plug in to mow.

The only thing is that when you adjust the blade low to get a low cut it loses a ton of power and nearly dies. If you adjust the blade all the way down to get a super low cut - it will - no doubt die.

Needs a bit more power :)

Blade Is An Issue
We have been unable to use our mower since May when the blade was bent by hitting a rock, as the 21" Greenworks blade replacement has been on backorder since that time and generic blades will not fit. Very frustrating to have a decent mower, but not be able to use it.

Broke After First Use
I got the mower delivered a few days early and mowed the area I needed within an hour later.

As I was finishing my mowing, the mower quit. I contacted MowersDirect.com who sent me to Greenworks. They are sending me a replacement switch part. I hope to replace the switch quickly and re-mow the area again.

I love the 4-year warranty but was disappointed when I could not return the mower without a 25% restocking fee (OUCH!). Hard to say how I like this mower as it did work well for... more

Weldon,
The Factory Warranty is administered by the folks at Greenworks; it is up to them to repair or replace your mower.

There is a link to our Return Policy at the bottom of every page on our web site. It explains the restock fee covers opened items in salable condition, since we have to test, clean & repackage them.

My New Lawn Mower
I bought this mower due to the fact I could not start my gas mower. I'm 71 years old and this mower is so easy to work. I love it.

Of course I ran over my cord the very first day. I had to call my grandson to come bail me out of a mess. It blew the circuit breakers for the outlets outside and my freezer and fridge in the garage. My grandson said to let him mow the lawn but I told him it's good exercise for me.

I mow my lawn each week now with no problems caused by the operator.

I Like This Mower
I did quite a bit of research before I decided to make the switch from a gasoline powered to an electric powered mower. I knew the advantages and the negatives before made the purchase.

This particular model featured the widest cut (21in.) and the most powerful motor (13 amp) I could find. I was also swayed by the 4 year warranty.

I purchased the mower online on a Saturday from Mowers Direct. It was supposed be be shipped direct from the factory. Amazon was $20 cheaper but my grass... more

Nice Mower!!
My first impression is wow! I've used electric mowers in the past. I've only had one good experience until now.

Greenworks 13Amp 21 Inch corded mower was easy to setup out of the box and very user friendly. Mowed up both front and back lawn without a hitch. No grassy mess either. Th mower is not too heavy, easy to push and puts out plenty of power.

Would definitely recommend this mower to anyone looking to purchase electric mower!
Pros: Easy To Use, Easy To Store, Durable, High Quality
Cons: Bag Has Slight Hitch To Put On Mower

Fantastic Customer Service
I ordered the Greenworks 21" , 13 amp, 3-n-1 Electric Lawnmower. Upon receipt of the initial lawnmower the start switch was defective. I contacted Mowers Direct at which time they gave me two options, one was to take lawn mower to their designated repair shop in my city or to return the lawn mower, I chose that later of the two. UPS came by my house three times to pickup lawn mower but due to schedule conflicts we were unable to connect.

UPS left me a label to return the lawn mower.... more

Pleasantly Surprised
When I ordered my Greenworks 25112 Lawn Mower, I was a little apprehensive. I had never even seen an electric mower, so all I had to go by was reviews and a couple of Face Book friends experience with them. Also, my new neighbor told me that his dad had a battery powered one and didn't like it. But, I just bought a new house with a very small yard, and was determined to do away with the aggravation and messiness of a gasoline mower. So, I started looking on line.

The reason I settled... more

I absolutely love this mower! I had to give up my gas mower because of shoulder problems and was very hesitant to purchase an electric mower.

However, after using it four times already this season, I am extremely pleased with the ease of use and performance of this mower.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Great Mower
This is my second Greenworks electric lawnmower. I absolutely love it, or should I say, love them. The first is about 4 years old and works like a champ. The new one is great with a wider cut.

I purchased the new one in order to help my husband with the lawn. One works on the front lawn and the other on the back lawn. It works great.

Way To Go, Greenworks!
This mower is perfect for my needs. My lawn is of average size and shape and not on a hill-- a very flat surface.

What I liked:
1. Ready to go out of the box--very little assembly needed!
2. Power is more than adequate and safety features my wife could even use it!
3. Come with all the options for catching or mulching the grass
4. Sturdy steel construction and easy cleaning.

You could not ask for more; and no going to the gas station to get gas, no engine to worry about spark plugs... more

Good Mower- Works As Advertised
I ordered my 21" Greenworks mower on a Monday, and it was on my doorstep here in NC on the following THURSDAY, direct from China!!

It was easy to assemble, and I have used it twice so far. It cuts very well, and it's extremely easy to adjust cutting height.

I have been using the side-eject grass-throwing option, which works, but air pressure on the closed rear gate makes grass clippings spew out a crevice in the top of the gate, covering the back of the mower deck with debris--a... more

This mower has a lot of power and cuts well. I love the ease of attaching and removing the bag. It's quite a bit heavier than my last electric mower which is a negative since I have fibromyalgia, but other than that I am pleased with it.

Electric Vs Gas Push Mowers
I was surprised as to the ease of pushing the electric mower vs the gas. I can push it with one hand. It cuts great and the height adjustment is very easy to use. I almost wish I hadn"t bought the riding mower but at 80 I'd rather ride than walk. I'll use mostly to cut in tight spots and walkways and around flowerbeds. Don't have to mess with gas and the engine gumming up in the off season, plus no spring tune ups.

Excellent Mower
This is an excellent mower. It is very powerful, 13A makes a big difference. I found it very light and easy to work with. The only inconvenience is the cord, but once you learn how to move the cord around your yard it is not a big deal to get the job done.

Great Mower
I have been using the Greenworks 25112 for the past month and it has been very easy to use. Setup was very simple, just remove it from the box and unfold the handle. Height adjustment is handled with one lever. The large back wheels make it very easy to push.

I have used it for both mulching and bagging and both modes were very easy to use. The only problem I have encountered is that the cord holder does not accomodate the 12 gauge power cord. I work around this by tying the power... more

Broke On First Mow
The first time I used this mower the front wheel got caught under the blade and was chewed through. Our lawn is small and level. The company sent a replacement part, but I am NOT handy and putting the new wheel on isn't self explanatory and there are no directions in the manual. I wouldn't recommend this product despite Mowers Direct's strong reviews.

Quite Pleased!
I am happy with my new GreenWorks mower. It is easy to handle, which was my primary concern. I am thrilled with the easy start. I've only used it two times, thus far, and find the cord is not much of an issue (another concern). I am using two 50' cords instead of one 100' (as suggested by another customer) and find it is not a big problem.

Using An Electric Mower
This is the best mower I have ever had. I have to keep my equipment in the basement because of not having a garage or any other storage buildings. This mower has no gas and no fumes! I am able to cut all my grass in a large yard using a 100 foot cord. I don't think I will ever buy another gas mower.

Good Electric Mower
After much research on electric mowers (both corded and battery), I decided on this one. I was looking for the following combination of features: electric power, largest cutting width available, steel deck, large back wheels, and abillity to cut about 1/4 acre. The 25112 has all these features. I was tempted by a couple of the battery mowers out there (there are a couple of 20" battery mowers) but none of the reviews indicated that the mowers would run longer than 45-60 minutes, and my... more

Plug & Play
I waited 3 months for this machine and am glad I waited. It is everything I could want in an electric. Power, looks, light weight.
As a 75 year old I just could not see myself starting up a gas mower. Pulling my joints apart. Noise. Smell. Difficult starts. Not worth it. This is a real push button start and easy to maneuver. A true 'plug and play' because it is fun to run. And the
Fed-ex delivery was superb.

I have used my mower 3 times so far and am very satisfied with it's performance so far. My only complaint is that the motor isn't as quiet as i thought it would be and the foam that cushions the handle is not very thick and has a tear in it from grasping the handle firmly. The cost of the extension cord is very expensive. I needed an 85 foot cord and according to the manual over 50 ft. requires a 12 gauge extension. Since they don't make 85 ft. Cleaning Up The Environment...one Lawn At A Time
I have a little postage-stamp yard in the city of Cleveland. I have been using an old gas-powered lawnmower given to me many years ago by my brother when he moved to Florida. Mower does great job on lawn, replaced B&D mower that i now save just to crunch leaves in fall.

Just have to learn to mow away from where you are plugged in- learned that 30 years ago with sunbeam, the first electric mower sold. Only had electric ever since. My indoor/outdoor bbq grill is also electric. No coal or propane issues and i can use it indoors even in winter.
