Craftsman Is Of Very Poor Quality
I brought my Craftsman 3 years ago. Engine is blown already, after encountering several costly problems in the process. Ridiculous is an understatement!!!

Craftsman need to do everyone a favor and stop selling lawn tractors. Because the prices do not match the quality of there products. Which includes there trimmers as well.

Sorry Tractor! Don't Waste Your Money On Craftsman
4 years old and the engine is shot. Only mowed a few months each year in Virginia- about an acre. This is the third Craftsman I've owned and it is the worst.

Not that the first two were that great but they at least lasted more than 5 years. Sadly this still looks brand new, but the looks don't cut the grass. I'd take an ugly goat to cut grass over this POS!
Cons: Low Quality, Unreliable, Durability, Expensive

Engine Shot After 4 Years
The engine is already shot - oil in the spark plugs. Expected more from Craftsman and Briggs & Stratton. Now for their customer service - SUCKS! You get moved around to 8 different departments and repeat the same old story to no avail. When you contact corporate Sears Holdings...they simply transfer you off to Customer Service again. Still waiting 3 weeks for a response back from them. This loyal Sears customer is through with them and filing a complaint with the BBB on Friday. Stay... more
Cons: Low Quality, Unreliable, Bad Instructions, Durability

Jon,
We are sorry to hear of the issue you are having with the Craftsman tractor you purchased. Due to the fact Craftsman manufactures and warranties the mower you would be best served to keep dealing with them. You may want to try a local servicing dealer rather than call their customer service. You may get faster service.

Craftsman 46"
Have always owned Craftsman mowers. Bought this mower as I have nearly an acre to mow. After 3 years and once a week use it's shot. The brackets holding the wheels to the deck are breaking off every time I use it. The metal is so thin I've tried MIG welding, it just breaks again. Always took care to clean it and it just didn't hold up. My last mower lasted 13 years. So the quality of Craftsman is gone. No more SEARS! JUNK for me, there washing machine did the same thing.
