Can Help Get The Job Done Efficiently...
If you just have to get the job done without the frills and features offered by higher end brand names, this is the residential zero turn mower you want.

It has plenty of mowing power. It is built sturdy, and it holds it's own. It even comes with a standard hour meter for tracking scheduled maintenance, and the price is more merciful on the wallet than many others.

Access to the oil drain plug can be a little awkward and is a con about this zero turn mower that is easily noticeable, if... more

So Happy With This Mower
Bought the zero turn 2 months ago and have been happy ever since. Cut my yard that was taking 1-3/4 hours to do, down to 40 minutes. Easy to handle and the 24 hp motor is a HOSS! Yard looks great. Best investment I have ever done for a mower. Still have an old Snapper in storage but planning on selling it next spring.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Exceeded Expectations, I'd Buy It Again

Amazed By The Performance
Just bought this two days ago, started it up and off I went. Grass had not been mowed due to rain, and was real high. I was amazed at how well it cut through the high grass without even bogging the engine, and actually did a decent job of cutting it. I expected to keep the old tractor style mower around just for the slopes and hills in the yard, but this machine went up hills that the tractor would just spin on and across the slope of our front yard with no issue at all. I am really impressed,... more

Great Suction For Bagging
When I was planning on buying a zero turn mower, I was looking for a mower that would catch lawn. How good is the suction? I didn't want to spend my time I'm saving with a zero turn mower unplugging all the time. So I read over hundred reviews on every kind of zero turn mower and could not find. One review on how good the mower bagged the grass. So, I'm placing this review to let people know that this Craftsman zero turn mower bags lawn very well. The suction is unbelievable. Mowed lawns that... more

So Far, So Good
I had this delivered June 9th (2015). Very fast. Worked fine. More like mowing with a go cart than a tractor. Things to note:

Will not mow with both handles in reverse (safty switches disengage blades).

The handles on my unit needed adjusting, and I had an oil leak caused by the oil level sensor not being totally snug on the engine, both issues fixed by Sears service.

The unit is working well... however the impression I get is that this is not as heavy duty a unit as a commercial... more
Pros: I'd Buy It Again, Price, Quiet, Fast

B.,
You would be correct in most instances about MTD making some of the Craftsman riding mowers (Husqvarna does as well). The Toro units would not be made by MTD, these are going to be made by Toro in their factory in Minnesota. MTD has made some riding tractors in the past for Toro, but the zero turns have always been made by Toro.
