Q: I have a VERY rough lawn (2 acres), would this type of aerator help smooth it out a little? If not, what would you suggest? by Dan from Kansas on September 23, 2011
A: Dan - an aerator is really not designed to level uneven ground. An aerator pulls plugs of soil up out of your lawn, allowing water and nutrients to reach the roots of your grass. Lawn aeration strengthens the roots, and strong roots equal a lush, green lawn. If you are looking to "smooth out" your lawn without damaging your grass, you should consider a lawn roller: lawn rollers by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Will there be any problem using this with a John Deere lawn mower? Or our ATV? LOTS of work to do after a large fire last year. we had tons of mature pine trees burn. Barren land now that need clean up. But, would mostly be for our rough terrain land/yard work. by Tim from Minnesota on May 22, 2011
A: Tim - if your John Deere mower is a lawn tractor, then there would be no problem using this Aerator/Spreader behind it. As for an ATV, you would need to drive the ATV pretty slowly, as this product tends to bounce when pulled behind a ATV at more than about 5 mph. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I am looking to add about 3/4 acres of new lawn to my 1 acre existing lawn. There are a lot of obstacles, ie. raised beds, grape arbor, fruit trees, some row crops, small berm and pond. As such I am looking at a zero turn mower like the Husqvarna Rz5424. Can I pull a Precision products 42" aerator drop spreader behind the tractor to seed the new area? by Doug Huskey from California on April 12, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, you can pull this spreader behind a zero turn lawn mower. by Todd, Product Expert
