Significant Incentives for Savvy Off-Season Shoppers

BOLINGBROOK, IL (January 20, 2010) - MowersDirect.com today introduced an assortment of incentives, encouraging customers to pre-order early.

"This isn't some make-believe door buster event, trying
to persuade you to buy something on Saturday morning," said Jon Hoch, founder and CEO of Power Equipment Direct - the parent company of MowersDirect.com.
"We're offering serious incentives to savvy off-season shoppers.”

First, MowersDirect.com slashed prices on select new lawn mowers. Since the online superstore doesn’t advertise during the winter, they are passing the money saved on marketing back to customers in the form of price reductions.

Secondly, MowersDirect.com is also offering no payments for 6 months on lawn mowers greater than $500. Customer can order their lawn mower today using BillMeLater and not make a single payment until the middle of mowing season.

Finally, many new lawn mowers haven’t come off the assembly line yet. Customers can place backorders now, but their lawn mower will not ship until several weeks later, freeing up valuable garage space.

"Basically, if you order a brand new lawn mower - not last year's leftover - now, it won't arrive until the snow melts. Plus, you'll actually use it for several months before you pay for it. That's a great deal," said Hoch.

The incentives won't last forever. The Pre-Season Sale officially ends on February 28, 2010.
