BOLINGBROOK, IL (November 03, 2009) - MowersDirect.com - an online lawn mower superstore specializing exclusive in lawn mowers - today slashed prices on its entire stock of lawn mowers.

The online superstore basically cut its advertising budget and is passing the savings onto savvy, off-season shoppers instead.

"This isn't some make-believe door buster event, trying to persuade you to buy something on Saturday morning," said Jon Hoch, founder and CEO of Power Equipment Direct - the parent company of MowersDirect.com.

The End of Season Sale won't last forever. In fact, most models will be sold out before the sale officially ends at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve.

Once MowersDirect.com sells out of an individual model, the sale expires on that model. MowersDirect.com doesn't plan to reorder any lawn mowers until 2010.

"Once it's gone, it won't be available for purchase until next year," said Hoch.

Power Equipment Direct operates 10 niche online superstores.
