Q: I would like to know if these baggers are cloth or plastic, and do I need a trash bag put inside of the bagger

A: Hi Bob - The discharge tube assembly and the top cover are made from a poly (plastic) material. The grass baggers themselves are a polyester cloth material. This bagger can be used with or without a liner bag.

A: We don't have the new bagger attachment for the model you are looking to buy. We are not carrying a 38" model from MTD this year, so it is not in our lineup.

A: Thanks for your inquiry. As long as your mower has a 38 inch or 42 inch deck and is 2009 or older it will fit.

A: You would have everything in the kit to put something like this on as long as it would fit. It should because it is an MTD built unit, but something you would most likely want to check with MTD on.

Happy With New Bagging System

I recently purchased the OEM-190-180A twin bagging system for my Toro LX427 (2009). Assembly took about 30 minutes and was pretty easy with just basic tools. Properly sliding the system over the chute was the trickiest part. I did not need to make any modifications to the LX427.

I've used the system twice now for bagging grass clippings. It works just fine. I purchased the system more for collecting maple leaves in the fall, but I don't anticipate any difference in performance with collecting leaves vs. grass.
