I bought this to replace a similar machine I have used for years, till the carb died, and the shop said it would cost $150 to fix.
I see this model is discontinued, so I wonder why Mowers Direct wants a review. ?? This seems to be the same machine Sears and others sell, so I am confused.
The price @ Mowers Direct was much better than I could get locally, and it was delivered promptly as they indicated.
However there was no Owner's Manual in the box, and the one I ordered from MTD had half the pages upside down, and way out of sequence. The motor is a Tecumseh, not B&S as advertised, but I am OK with that, even though the warranty is quite limited.
The machine started right up, and edges as expected.

The Operator's Manual is available for download on the MTD site if that will give you a cleaner copy. Just go to http://manuals.mtdproducts.com/mtd/Public.do and put in the model number (25B551A029) and the serial number (12345678 works, too).
