Nimble

I have purchased a 13.5 hp Yard Machine and am quite satisfied so far.

I use it on a flat 1 acre property with trees and like its tight turning radius. It's nimble and the power seems quite adequate for I what I bought it for.

The only concern I have is the small size of the axles. Since I am only 150 lbs this may not be a problem, but a heavier person may want to look into this before purchasing.

I also own a Kubota BX24 and a CaseIngersoll 18 hp garden tractor that I use on a 4 acre property with steep grades so I obviously have something to compare with.

Better For Flat Yards

The steel pull bar needs reinforced at both ends. The pull bar connecting joint point on the front of mower deck needs reinforced also. These have all needed to be welded.

The belt for the mower is an odd size and I can only find it from Swisher. I mow six acres and use 4 belts a season. The pulleys are cheap and need reinforced because the brackets holding them became loose. The steel overall seems to be of poor quality.

The 14.5 HP motor needs to be larger. Has trouble in thick 4 inch grass. Grass looks good after mowing. Would look for something a little heavir made next time. If y... more
