I changed the plug twice, keep the oil clean, and it's kept in the shed during the winter. I always look at new mowers in stores, and they look nice- but I don't need them. This baby is still cutting grass! This is one heck of a machine. I had to replace the blade a few years ago because of running over rocks. I cleaned the filter every year and never had to change the spark plug. It's a basic machine with no frills, but it gets the job done. Sure, you find less expensive lawn mowers. However, these cheap Chinese lawn mowers will make two laps around your yard before the wheels fall off. If you want an extremely basic lawmower to store in your garage instead of a garbage pile, the MTD Yard Machines is your best option. It is manufactured by American company with a great reputation. This model lacks all the bells-and-whistles, but it will cut your grass and serve you well.
