Q: I love the GTH series of garden tractors that Husqvarna puts out...but they're impossible to find! My name has been on three waiting lists for their 52" fabricated deck model for the past four months! I've given up waiting. The main reason I wanted the garden tractor is that I occasionally (three or four times per year) roll my yard with a roller with a capacity of 900lbs. If I filled up the roller to somewhere around 600lbs, do you think the RZ5424 with the Kawasaki engine could pull it without causing serious damage?

A: Andrew - The Husqvanra RZ5424 zero turn will NOT be able to tow a load of 600 lbs. You would cause serious damage to your mower if you tried this. The max towing capacity of the RZ5424 is about 200 lbs.

Q: I am in the market for a zero turn mower and the Husqvarna products seem to have the highest consumer ratings. I am interested in a zero turn for mowing in the summer but I also want to mount a snow blade for winter snow removal. Would the Model 966 do the job? Do you make a snow blade for the zero turns or will I need to get an after-market snow blade. Thanks!

A: Mark - Husqvarna does not offer either a snow plow blade nor a snow blower attachment for any of their zero turn mowers. And the snow plow blade and the snow blower attachment for the Husqvarna tractors will NOT fit on any of the Husqvarna zero turns. We also do not offer any after market snow plow blades for zero turn mowers at this time.

Q: How does this lawn mower (RZ5424 with the Kohler Courage engine) compare to the same model with the Kawasaki engine? Is the Kohler engine comparable to the Kawasaki? How reliable should the Kohler engine model be? Is there any muffler problem that you are aware of with it? Is there any other info you can give me on the Kohler version? Thank you in advance.

A: Ideally, a Kawasaki engine is going to be a better quality engine. You end up paying more money for the Kawasaki engine, but the quality is rarely matched by other companies.

Kohler makes a great engine, but is going to be a slight lesser in grade than the Kawasaki engine. Owning something with a Kohler would not be something to be upset about and if you take care of the unit, it will take care of you. This is the same with every engine though.

To our knowledge we do not know of any muffler problems with the Kohler engine, but we don't do service here, so problems would have to be known through either word of mouth or recall reports. Overall the Kohler is a very good quality engine and if taken care of would last just about as long as a Kawasaki engine. In most cases it really comes down to how well you take care of it.

Q: I bought a RZ5424 Husqvarna today and when I start the engine then release the parking brake it aotomatically shuts off.
What do I do or what do I need to do to keep it running?
