Q: Does the Husqvarna HU800BBC have a side discharge available and if so does it come with the mower ? I ask the question because a local store said it doesn't but it is advertised as such. Thanks.

A: Todd - this mower does not come standard with a side discharge adapter, but there is one available directly from Husqvarna. On this model, the side discharge adapter slides into the rear chute opening and directs the grass clippings out to the left side of the mower. Husqvarna makes this adapter available at no charge to customers who purchase this mower and register it on line. Otherwise, the adapter will run you about $12 - $15.

John Deere much better

I purchased this mower because I liked the blade brake feature and the easy cleaning feature. Unfortunately those are the only two features that are worth anything on this mower. I replaced a John Deere, wish I had it back. I have had push mowers that worked easier. The drive system either does not work or the rear wheels simply spin with no traction. The only way to get it to drive is to raise the cutting deck so high, it looks like you didn't even mow the lawn. I have had mowers that cost half the price and worked twice as good. Never again a Honda engine, Briggs & Stratton only. ... more

New Mower

The mower is very nice. Added gas and oil, one pull and I was on my way! I love not needing to restart after emptying the grass catcher.

Best way to buy a Lawn Mower

Looked at all the retail stores, did my listing of brands and pricing. Looked for all the features I wanted on a walk behind lawn mower and finalized my list. Ended up purchasing a Husqvarna mower through Mowers Direct. I was weary of buying something this large on-line. It was not only easy but, when the mower was delivered the box was in perfect condition like it must have shipped from the factory. The driver place the box in my garage and it took me all of 20 minutes to unbox and assemble. Mower started right up and I was mowing the lawn in matters of minutes.
