Todd...what is the width of this mower? 50.8 or 59.8. . Can you tell me the difference. Thank you.
by Ryan from Pennsylvania on March 03, 2012
A: Ryan - the overall width of the mower is 50.8 inches with the discharge chute cover in the "up" position. It is 59.8 inches wide with the discharge chute cover in the "down" position. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I'm considering purchasing the HUSQVARNA YTH26V54. What happens if I ever need service? Where do I take the mower? by Steve Sanit from Texas on February 24, 2012
A: Steve - should you ever require service under the terms of the warranty, you would take your tractor to the nearest Husqvarna authorized service center, and they will perform the required work. The warranty does not cover transporting the tractor to and from the service center (that would be on you), but all warranty service would be covered. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Does this Husqvarna YTH21K46 mower provide a cruise lock so that I don't need to keep my foot on the accelerator the entire time I am cutting the lawn? by Jim from Michigan on October 09, 2011
A: Jim - yes, the Husqvarna YTH21K46 has a cruise control feature that will allow you to set the forward speed at a constant pace without holding down the forward drive pedal. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Does this unit accept a front blade attachment? by R Clark from Kentucky on July 20, 2011
Q: on the Husqvarna YTH22V42 and YTH23V48, how easy is it to clean the deck after mowing? Is it easy to get underneath or do you need ramps? by Bob Malzacher from North Carolina on July 03, 2011
A: Bob - all of the Husqvarna lawn tractors are equipped with a wash out port on the mower deck surface as part of its deck wash system. It should be utilized after each use. You simply connect a garden hose to the wash out port on the mower deck, turn on the water and engage the mower blades. You do not need to get underneath the mower deck or "lift" the tractor in order to clean out the mower deck.
Q: Does this tractor handdle a snow blower well? by Jim Karlskin from Michigan on July 01, 2011
A: Jim - yes, all of the Husqvarna lawn tractors will accomodate a snow blower attachment. Here is the snow blower that fits on the Husqvarna tractors: Husq. snow blower by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I live on a sloped lot. Can this tractor cut on an incline? by Kristie Weber from California on June 27, 2011
A: Kristie - none of the Husqvarna lawn tractors are recommended for slopes or inclines of greater than 15 degree's. They may work on slightly steeper inclines if the soil is firm and dry, but if the soil is loose or is wet a lot of the time, you will have traction problems on slopes greater than 15 degree's. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Do Husqvarna lawn tractors still mow when the tractor is in reverse?? by Rodney from Maine on June 22, 2011
A: Rodney - the Husqvarna lawn tractors are equipped with with a Reverse Operation System (ROS). Unless this system is engaged first, any attempt by the operator to travel in the reverse direction with the mower deck or the attachment clutch engaged will shut off the engine unless ignition key is placed in the ROS "ON" position. Even so, Husqvarna STRONGLY discourages backing up with the attachment clutch engaged while mowing. Turning the ROS "ON", to allow reverse operation with the attachment clutch engaged, should only be done when the operator decides it is necessary to reposition the machine with the attachment engaged. Husqvarna warns against mowing in reverse unless it is absolutely necessary. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: How important are the extra deck wheels , 0 vs.2 vs 4 if cutting uneven ground. by Greg Grubba from Alaska on June 05, 2011
A: Greg - basically, the more anti-scalp deck wheels there are on a mower deck, the better is will travel over your property, and the more even the cut will be on your grass. by Todd, Product Expert

Q: Can the YTH26V54 model take a Dump Cart? It is not shown in the accessories. by V. Stone from New Jersey on June 05, 2011

Right mower for the right price
Have about an acre that grew up to around 12" I mowed it down to the proper height in one pass with no problems at all. Plenty of power and cuts to the quality of a good push mower. May buy another one for the farm.

Runs great - hard to clean deck
Only complaint is that the deck is hard to clean - above the deck where the belts and the housing are. Leaves and grass get in there and get wet. Easy to maintain, oil and filter are easily accessible. Pickup chute works well. Bought new blades here and they fit well and were sharp.

The best yet!
I've owned a riding Snapper and a Cub Cadet. I have no fond memories of the Snapper and always thought my Cub Cadet was the best built mower on the market. Not so.... My Husqvarna out shines the Cub by a long shot. I am very happy I own one!

Best mower i ever owned!
Put 140. hrs on a 08 model only problem was to replace the blades once a year and change oil. Excellent mower, nice looking, and no cheap flimsy plastic hood like some other mowers have. I sold it this year because i was anticipating some sort of repairs but mower still rode, looked, and ran like the day i bought it! With exception of a few scratches, I was going to get a John Deere 170 after a closer inspection we decided to go back with the same mower! Husqvarna makes a great riding mower!

This mower is by far more than I expected. It is fantastic - especially with the bagger attachment. Really keeps the yard looking sharp.

Great Mower
I purchased this mower about 3 months ago. It runs and cuts very well. My mower does not leave a trail of uncut grass down the middle. The blades are offset to combat this problem. I recommend using proper warmup procedures for any hydrostatic system and you should get great performance and life out of them. The 21HP Kohler engine has plenty of power for this mower. Can pull me and 300lbs on a trailer just fine. Although if you want to use sleeve hitch attachments, you will probably have to go with a garden tractor. All other tow behind attachments would be no trouble for this mower. This mower can also take a couple of front end attachments such as the dozer blade and front scoop. Also the brush guard is inexpensive and helps protect the hood from collisions.

Runs well, but poor cut performance
I purchased this mower 1 year ago, which has a 2 blade cutting system. These blades have a small gap between them. This causes the cut path to be uneven because the grass in the middle of the cut path does not get cut as even as the rest. After cutting a path you can see a line of uncut grass down the middle.
I first checked the height of each blade and deck, everything was perfect. I then sharpened my blades, after no better results, I replaced the blades. Still get the same results. I talked to two dealers who both said nothing can be done. To avoid this problem, get a mower that has a 3 blade cutting system. I like the mower, but am unhappy with the cut results.
