A: Bob - all of the Husqvarna lawn tractors are equipped with a wash out port on the mower deck surface as part of its deck wash system. It should be utilized after each use. You simply connect a garden hose to the wash out port on the mower deck, turn on the water and engage the mower blades. You do not need to get underneath the mower deck or "lift" the tractor in order to clean out the mower deck.

A: Rodney - the Husqvarna lawn tractors are equipped with with a Reverse Operation System (ROS). Unless this system is engaged first, any attempt by the operator to travel in the reverse direction with the mower deck or the attachment clutch engaged will shut off the engine unless ignition key is placed in the ROS "ON" position. Even so, Husqvarna STRONGLY discourages backing up with the attachment clutch engaged while mowing. Turning the ROS "ON", to allow reverse operation with the attachment clutch engaged, should only be done when the operator decides it is necessary to reposition the machine with the attachment engaged. Best For Flat & Level Ground
The mower arrived in good shape and assembly was relatively easy.
This model is a good mower if only used on very flat and level ground, however that's not what I have. I will always use the highest mower level and at that the deck continually sticks and I had to get off and push the mower over even slightly uneven land.
I'm trying to find larger wheels and tires for the mower so that I can use it as the design did not take into account even slightly uneven land. I'm not sure who would use the lowest settings of the deck...maybe a golf course on the greens?

New Mower
First Husqvarna mower I ever purchased, very pleased with performance and ease of operation.
ABF Freight lift gate delivery was flawless. Assembly after uncrating took about 20 minutes.
The mower has about 4 hours of use on it no problems handling grass cutting and bagging.
Bagger is easy to empty. I currently have the mulching kit on order to use in backyard so I have less cuttings to deal with

Prompt Delivery
I received my mower via lift-gate truck. Driver was very helpful with unloading, removing packing crate and pushing mower from pallet. He looked the mower over with me and didn't leave until I was satisfied. That's the good.
Now the bad. After 1.6 hours of use the mower quit all forward movement while cutting my 3 acres. After pushing the mower 50 yards to my driveway I found the drive belt completely shredded. Whom ever assembled the mower left the drive belt outside of the pulley guides which acted as knife edges as the belt ran over them. I called Husqvarna and was told to take the mower to the nearest service provider for inspection and repair. Since I didn't have a trailer or the time to take it in I asked if they could give me the dimensions of the belt. The lady put me on a short hold and came back with the requested information which I took to the local Advance Auto parts store and purchased a new v-belt ($21). Installation was simple with the included operator instructions and I was mowing within an hour or so. Mower is powerful and does a good job, but it's best to use a hose to clean under the mower deck as the wash-out port leaves a lot of grass under the deck.
Bottom line.... Mowers Direct did a good job with ordering and delivery.
Husqvarna needs to better quality-check their assembly-line workers. When I called the service center and described the problem I was having, the man stated that Husqvarna knew about this problem. I plan to call and find out what he meant. I hope this isn't a recurring problem and was just an over-sight on the assembly line.

Great Power
I have 5 acres to mow and needed a large mower. I ordered the 54" Husqvarna mower. It was easy to assemble and adjust. I have mowed some areas where I thought that it might bog down but it cut right threw with out any problems. I am very happy with the mower, it has met all of my needs.

The 54 inch deck is not so forgiving if you have tight areas or undulating surfaces, but for wide areas this is a great mower at a reasonable cost.

Mowers Direct.com shipped promptly and kept me in the loop on shipping all the way. I ordered on a Sunday afternoon, it was in my driveway on Friday morning. The lift gate service was awesome- they unloaded and rolled up to my house. The driver happened to be looking for a new mower and when I told him the price he helped me unpack so he could look it over as well.
The mower was shipped on a pallet fully assembled. It took about 20 min. to mount the mower deck and was MUCH easier than the instructions made it appear to be. It also appears to have been perfectly leveled at the factory and no adjustment was needed.
i did a quick test cut in my field on some fairly thick grass and this mower ate it like candy. LOTS of power. Steering is easy and responsive.
i will say the reports of poor traction on the tires are accurate. I have a few uneven areas and it took some effort to get the tires to stop spinning. i did find a quick bounce in the seat usually got it going. Leaning toward the weak tire won't work with this mower as the seat switch is VERY sensitive and kills the engine quickly.
This was a lot of money for me to spend on a mower and I was a bit hesitant about the purchase. After receiving the mower i am VERY happy with this purchase.

Great Combination
The bagger was very easy to empty and holds more than I thought it would.
Only problem so far is I got the tube clogged once, but I think that was from too wet grass.
With the mower, I love it, of course we haven't had any rain since I've gotten it and got to ride it once so the grass hasen't needed mowing, but it worked very well.
The only thing that is a concern of mine is that when the mower is set at the highest setting, it still cuts the grass VERY low. I've got to look into that.
