Q: Does this unit accept a front blade attachment? by R Clark from Kentucky on July 20, 2011
A: Yes, all of the Husqvarna lawn and garden tractor will accept a front plow blade: Husqvarna plow blade by Todd, Product Expert
Q: on the Husqvarna YTH22V42 and YTH23V48, how easy is it to clean the deck after mowing? Is it easy to get underneath or do you need ramps? by Bob Malzacher from North Carolina on July 03, 2011
A: Bob - all of the Husqvarna lawn tractors are equipped with a wash out port on the mower deck surface as part of its deck wash system. It should be utilized after each use. You simply connect a garden hose to the wash out port on the mower deck, turn on the water and engage the mower blades. You do not need to get underneath the mower deck or "lift" the tractor in order to clean out the mower deck.
by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Does this tractor handdle a snow blower well? by Jim Karlskin from Michigan on July 01, 2011
A: Jim - yes, all of the Husqvarna lawn tractors will accomodate a snow blower attachment. Here is the snow blower that fits on the Husqvarna tractors: Husq. snow blower by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I live on a sloped lot. Can this tractor cut on an incline? by Kristie Weber from California on June 27, 2011
A: Kristie - none of the Husqvarna lawn tractors are recommended for slopes or inclines of greater than 15 degree's. They may work on slightly steeper inclines if the soil is firm and dry, but if the soil is loose or is wet a lot of the time, you will have traction problems on slopes greater than 15 degree's. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Do Husqvarna lawn tractors still mow when the tractor is in reverse?? by Rodney from Maine on June 22, 2011
A: Rodney - the Husqvarna lawn tractors are equipped with with a Reverse Operation System (ROS). Unless this system is engaged first, any attempt by the operator to travel in the reverse direction with the mower deck or the attachment clutch engaged will shut off the engine unless ignition key is placed in the ROS "ON" position. Even so, Husqvarna STRONGLY discourages backing up with the attachment clutch engaged while mowing. Turning the ROS "ON", to allow reverse operation with the attachment clutch engaged, should only be done when the operator decides it is necessary to reposition the machine with the attachment engaged. Husqvarna warns against mowing in reverse unless it is absolutely necessary. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Hello,
I am considering the Husqvarna YTH23V48 for my 1 acre lawn - it is flat except for a gentle grade about 40 feet long in one location. Will this lawn tractor be a good choice? Also, does it have a deck wash-out capability? Thank you.
Steve by Steve Hall from Massachusetts on June 19, 2011
A: Steve - the Husqvarna YTH23V48 does have a single deck wash port. This model would be ideal for a yard one acre in size. As long as the grade in that one spot is not greater than a 15 degree incline, this tractor would be a great choice. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Are snow plows available for the Husqvarna LGT24K54 model? by V. Stone from New Jersey on June 05, 2011
A: Yes, there is both a plow blade and a snow blower that can be mounted to the front of any Husqvarna residential grade tractor, including the LGT24K54 model. Husqvarna snow attachments We are sold out of these right now, but will get more in stock in late July or early August. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Can the YTH26V54 model take a Dump Cart? It is not shown in the accessories. by V. Stone from New Jersey on June 05, 2011
A: Yes, any of the Husqvarna residential lawn tractors, including the model YTH26V54, can pull a dump cart. Any of the Husqvarna tractors that we carry would be able to pull any of the dump carts that we offer from Precision Products Dump Carts by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I purchased a husqavarna yth22v42 from you earlier this year. Can you tell me how much weight I can add to the rear to increase traction. I can't seem to find anything in the manual about it. Thanks by Tom Carter from New York on May 31, 2011
A: Tom - you can add 50 lbs. of weight to the back of your tractor to enhance the traction. We carry the rear wheel weight and bracket kit that will fit your tractor. Husqvarna Rear Weight by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I have a hilly, uneven rough 2 acre yard, I currently have a 54 " husqvarna riding mower. I have to work on the deck each time I mow and noticed they changed the design the year after I bought mine. which mower has the best deck - sturdiness, ease to repair, works best with very rough land ( my support bars bent and it has messed up the whole deck). by Kathy Kuhn from Indiana on May 12, 2011
A: Kathy - For the type of terrain that you are describing, you should consider a riding mower with a WELDED (fabricated) deck design. A welded deck is typically constructed of heavier gauge steel than the more common "stamped" deck that you probably have on your current riding mower. The welded deck also is stronger structurally. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Todd, I am trying to decide between the Husqvarna and the Allis Chalmers.. Which has the better engine? Their transmissions and drives seem identical... I would appreciate your advice.... How do these mowers compare to the Craftsmen 46" 24HP mower... by Byron from Texas on May 08, 2011
A: Both of these units are going to have similar engines, but the engine in the Allis Chalmers is going to be the better quality from Briggs and Stratton. The Intek from Briggs is going to be on the lower side for Briggs and the ELS Twin is going to be the step before the Professional Series engines.
The nice thing about the Allis Chalmers is going to be the radius of turning. With the four wheel steer, you do get a better turning radius even though the Husqvarna's is going to still be good.
In terms of the Craftsmen, in all honesty, these are going to be stripped down Husqvarnas. Husqvarna actually makes most of the Craftsmen mowers for Sears.
Thanks,
Mowers Direct by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Todd - what is the turning radius of this mower? Are the axles cast steel? by Byron from Texas on May 08, 2011
A: The turning radius on this mower is going to be 16 degrees. The front axels would also be cast iron.
Thanks,
Mowers Direct by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Todd, My son wieghs 59lbs and is 4" 7" can he operate this mower? (48" Husqvarna) by Byron Edgmon from Texas on May 08, 2011
A: Byron - probably not. I don't think he will be able to reach the foot pedals. Husqvarna also recommends in the owner's manual that no one under the age of 14 operate a riding mower. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Todd, What is better and why? The Briggs & Stratton Intek V-Twin or the Kohler Courage Single? Thanks, John by John from Pennsylvania on May 04, 2011
A: John - I always prefer and recommend a V-Twin engine over a single cylinder engine. The V-Twin is going to run smoother and quieter, deliver more power when you are hauling or pulling a load and will also give you better fuel economy. Many of the V-Twin engines also have a full pressure lubrication system (you should look for this feature) which will keep your oil pressure constant if you are working on terrain that is hilly or uneven. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I know the YTH23V48 will accept a lot of accessories, but can it pull any sort of gardening/ground breaking device? I'm thinking about a tiller or plow etc... by Dave from Indiana on May 01, 2011
A: Hi Dave - unfortunately, the Husqvarna YTH23V48 is a lawn tractor, so it is NOT designed to pull any type of "ground engaging" attachments such as a tiller or a plow. The frame and the transmission on this tractor are not designed for this type of work. This tractor can haul a cart, or pull a lawn dethatcher or an aerator, but for heavy duty work like tilling and plowing, you really need a GARDEN tractor. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I have 3-4 acres of hilly grass cutting to do.. is the 48" 23HP riding mower up for the task? by Margie from Ohio on April 08, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, this tractor will handle this terrain no problem. This mower is equipped with a heavy duty frame and will handle your appllication very well.

Q: This is the year to replace my lawn tractor and snow blower. I have about 1/2 acre of yard to mow, so a 48" is great. I don't know anything about snow blowers except that here in New England you need to blow it not plow it. Suggestions please? by Don Goffe from Rhode Island on April 08, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. This Husqvarna is a great choice. It can accept a plow attachment and is great for towing spreaders, carts, etc. If you want to check out our snow blower site look at the link below.

Q: I have an old White LT165, and it has served me well. The spindles are steel, and it took me 13 years to break one. A friend of mine had a cheaper mower and was constantly breaking a spindle. He finally bought a used Walker. We have lots of rocks and stumps and have hit them 1000s of times without a problem. I want a lawn or garden tractor with strong spindles. What do you recommend? by Scott Eakins from Arkansas on April 04, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. This Husqvarna is a good solid, durable mower. it will defintely give you the performance your White did for all those years. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Do the mowers come completely assembled? by Bill Partridge from Indiana on March 17, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. The mower arrives fully assembled and delivered to your home. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I own a Husqvarna YTH2348 and just purchased a mulch kit from you. Is it necessary to replace the original stock blades w/ the mulching blades contained in the kit? I suspect that the original blades will be acceptable but may not perform as well as the blades enclosed in the kit. What do you think?
You guessed it.... I just don't feel like changing the original blades.
Thank YOU. by John Settin from South Carolina on March 15, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. The orginal stock blades will perfom the mulching action just the same. It will not chop the grass as fine as the mulch blades, but the stock blades will perform the mulching action you are looking for. So if you don't want to change the blades you don't have to. Just plug the discharge chute and mulch away. by Todd, Product Expert

The Husqvarna YTH23V48 lawn tractor is one versatile machine. Summer or winter, mowing or plowing, bagging or mulching, your list of options goes on and on.
The Husqvarna YTH23V48 offers premium performance with quality results. Its size makes it easy to maneuver and you’ll need less space for storage. Features such as fender-mounted cutting height adjustment, an adjustable seat and an ergonomic steering wheel make this tractor simple and comfortable to operate.

I purchased the 23hp 48"cut last spring. I have used it all year round since and have accumulated 70 hours on it. So far it has been a great tractor. It cuts very well and pulls without any slowing. This tractor has done all I ask of it and I believe will remain a great tractor as long as it is used for what it was made for.

Simply Amazing!
Just bought this from Mowers Direct and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! Delivery was professional and quick and the packaging was perfect. The crate and box completely protected the mower and it wasn't too hard to unpack (does require a good knife too cut the cardboard and detach it from the crate and also needs little bit of work, but only took me about 10-15 minutes). I've been using the tractor now for a few months and I have to say, it's simply the best. It's incredibly well made and super high quality. I cannot believe how powerful, smooth, and easy to use it is. The controls just make sense. Everything was designed with some thought and all the buttons, levers, and knobs are exactly where you'd want them to ensure safe and easy operation.
I have to admit, one of the major selling points and highlights of this mower has to be the easy mower /blade deck adjustment. You have a lever to the left of you that can be adjusted in literally less than a second while driving the tractor. It's incredibly convenient when you might be coming up near uneven ground where there might be a dip and you don't want the deck to scrape the ground. Also comes in handy for lifting the deck if you don't have the blades engaged and are just using it as a tractor (but didn't want to take off the blade deck).
This is truly an amazing machine and although I hope I don't need a new tractor for a loooong time since I just got this, I will be a Husqvarna customer for life. Also wanted to mention I purchased the triple bagger with it. It's very well made and very high quality just like the tractor. It's very easy to assemble/attach and works well. If you are using it for normal mowing of just grass, it's great and takes a while to fill up. If you are doing some fall cleanup and are sucking up leaves and debris with it, it fills up very fast and frequent stops for dumping it out will be necessary, but I still highly recommend it. The bins come out so easily after lifting the top and it takes just seconds to empty. Bottom line: I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TRACTOR TO ANYONE NO MATTER WHAT. It's incredible!!!

Reclaiming the Farm
We purchased a relatively new log home built on a historic piece of property once owned by President Andrew Johnson's daughter, which included the barn. The property had been neglected for the 3 years since the house was built and was extremely overgrown with all forms of weeds and brush.
The new tractor made short work of the 12 to 18 inch high grass on 2 acres surrounding the house. We are still weed wacking the rocky sections, but have been delighted with the Husqvarna tractor's performance and can't wait until next Spring when I get to routinely maintain our property with my new tractor.

GREAT Mower!
I ordered my mower about a month ago and received it with no problems within 3 days. The price I received was lower than any vendor in the area (local vendors couldn't beat the price even with a Military discount). The mower is fantastic. I'm impressed with the smooth, even cut and the power of the engine.
The deck water spray attachment is a great plus as well. I ordered the brush guard attachment which works great for me as I have several bushes/small trees that tended to scratch my old tractor. Very impressed with the quality of the Husqvarna.

Loving it so far
I purchased this machine from Mower's direct, and could not have been happier (Once I received it... more later). The machine is truly much more powerful than the Craftsman that I have been using for years. I am able to cut my mowing time with the same width of deck from 3 hours to about 45 minutes... no kidding. The turning radius is phenomenal, considering this is a front wheel turning tractor.
The hydrostatic transmission is wonderful, allowing you to drive this machine like you would a car. I have an 800 Lb chicken coup that I am able to drag with this machine around the yard, and I don't even need to add weight (granted, there is wheels on the coup). I only have five hours on the machine, so this is an early review, but I will write another when I have more hours. One more accessory that I am a fan of is the deck cleaning system. You hook up the hose, turn the mower deck on, and it cleans the mower deck right out. Very handy.
Shipping: Oh boy... Well, I ordered the machine, and it took about a week and a half to get here. I had to take some time off from work to be present when it showed, and it was pretty frustrating. The tractor had been crushed by something, and they still brought it all the way up here, just so I could refuse it, instead of making a call. I waited an ADDITIONAL two weeks (you can imagine what my property looked like at this point), and finally, after taking more time off off work, it was delivered. One thing: If the tractor is built as well as the packaging that it came in, I should have this machine for at least a decade.
I would suggest this machine to a friend that has between 2-5 acres of lawn that is not too hilly.

Very nice machine.
I ordered the mower and it arrived perfect. I saved on the price, taxes and shipping, somewhere around $500 over buying locally, well worth the short wait.
I suggest you use Direct if you are looking for a mower.

Great mower so far
This mower took only three days to receive at my house. Very happy with the shipping and how fast it got here. The shipping company called me and set up and drop off time. Set it all up and was mowing within 45 minutes. Cut really well and fast. I have about 1 hour on it now and it ran perfect the entire time. The mulch kit worked perfectly, did not have to re-cut anything. I will post another review after a few more times out this summer.

Good tractor Good price.
This is a good tractor. Cuts well - after setting guide wheels, which I didn't do until after first cut bad idea. Engine runs extremely well - the twin v really makes a difference. The best thing about this transaction was the delivery time by mowers direct!! I ordered this on a Wednesday @ 3:00 p.m. Arrived at destination 12:45 p.m. Thursday! That's less than 24 hours from placing order to delivery! Couldn't believe it.

Awsom Mower
Ordered on a Sunday, delivered on a Wednesday.
Read the manual and mowed that afternoon. This mower is fantastic.
Much quieter than I expected it to be. Had a question and emailed these folks and got a response within a couple of hours.
Very pleased with the price, delivery time and response time to my question. What else could you ask for?
