Q: What does it mean 50:1 for gas?

A: Joanne - all 2-cycle gas engines require the operator to "mix" the gas and oil together before filling the gas tank on the engine. Think about oil and vinegar dressing on a salad. For an engine that is a 50:1 mix, you would use 50 parts gas to 1 part oil for the proper fuel mix to run the engine at it's optimal level. Exact mix proportions will be on the bottle of 2-cycle engine oil - that is, how much oil goes into one gallon or one quart of gasoline.

 The Best!!

I bought this based on my past experience with this manufacturer. I have a Husky 455 Rancher Chainsaw that I have nothing but praise for. After 5 years of usage on my heavily wooded 5 acre farm it has never let me down. The Trimmer arrived needing only the guard installed and it was ready to go. Fueled it up and it started first pull and I am truly amazed that something that light can deliver so much power! Love this piece of equipment!
