Q: Todd: I really need your help. I want a powerful handheld leaf blower - the most powerful I can find since I have a large area to do. I would prefer not having to mix oil and gas, but if needed, fine. I would like easy starting. I cannot use the backpack we have. Too hard to start and too heavy for me - I'm kind of on the little side. I'm considering the Husqvarna 28cc - Is this my best choice? I have leaves and needles on the grass and hard surface, but I just want to get the leaves thrown a good distance.
Thanks very much for any advice. by Sharon Vathy from New York on March 20, 2011

The Husqvarna 125B gas-powered leaf blower is built to fit the diverse needs of homeowners and has a bevy of premium features to make operation easier. The blowing tube is fully adjustable, allowing you to optimize its length for different jobs around the yard. Also, the stop switch automatically returns to the "on" position, which makes starting the blower easy.
The Husqvarna 125B's controls are all contained in an easy-to-access panel. The panel features a cruise control function, which allows you to lock the tool's blowing speed. This way, you can complete big jobs without having to constantly regulate your blower's speed.
Weighing less than 10 lbs, the Husqvarna 125B leaf blower is lightweight and easy to handle. For further convenience, the 125B's fan housing has been engineered so the air stream is directly in line with the handle. This helps minimize rotational force on your wrist, so you won't have to worry about sore joints during long periods of use.
In spite of its light frame, the Husqvarna 125B packs heavy-duty blowing capabilities. The two-cycle engine is able to generate wind speeds up to 170mph – enough to blow away even the most stubborn yard waste.
Great yards demand equipment that is as dedicated and hardworking as you are. The Husqvarna 125B gas-powered leaf blower helps you master your slice of the great outdoors.

Powerful
Powerful and quiet blower. Works great for around my yard and parking area. I have a gravel drive, so rocks are always in the carport. This unit makes quick work removing them. No complaints with this blower.

Good Value
Have lots of trees on and around my property. Got this yesterday and set up was a breeze. Followed starting directions by purging air, setting choke and it started on the second pull out of the box. I usually spend about 3 hours raking leaves into piles to pick up this allowed me to blow them to one location and cut about 2 hours off the time needed to complete. Will be using this a lot for fluffing pine straw, blowing sidewalk and drive as well as grass clippings, beats dragging out the extension cord for the old blower!
