  8 Questions
Q: Is the 25312 mower include a smart charger to keep the batteries charged during winter months
by John from Florida on March 16, 2014

A: John - the charger that comes with the Greenworks 25312 cordless mower is not a smart charger. The charger will not regulate the current once the battery is fully charged.
by Jose, Product Expert

Q: Is it possible to add a leaf mulching blade to this mower? Can you recommend such a blade?
by Nat from Rhode Island on November 25, 2013

A: Nat - sorry, but there is no leaf mulching blade available for any of the Greenworks electric mowers, including the model #25312.
by Jose, Product Expert

Q: Are you sure that the Greenworks 25312 mower requires two batteries? The user manual tells the user to insert 1 battery. Same question for the older 25292 model.
by Ingrid Graf from California on June 27, 2013

A: Ingrid - The Greenworks #25312 mower requires only one battery at a time to operate. The mower has a battery compartment on the top of the mower that holds a single battery. Two batteries are provided with the mower, but you would only use one battery at a time while mowing.
by Jose, Product Expert

Q: How easy is it to remove battery for recharge ?
by Dan V from Texas on June 16, 2013

A: Dan - it is VERY easy to remove the batteries on the Greenworks 25312 mower for charging.
by Jose, Product Expert

Q: Is this unit also self propelled like the smaller 36V unit?
by Robert from Wisconsin on May 23, 2013

A: This unit would not be self-propelled. Greenworks has not come out with a Lithium-Ion battery power self-propelled mower as of yet. The 36V unit would be a lead acid battery. As of right now anything Lithium-Ion is going to be push.
by Jose, Product Expert

Q: Comes with two 4ah batteries. Does each one provide 30 minutes of mowing to get to the 60 minutes total mowing time? Are replacement g-max batteries available?
by Ken from Rhode Island on May 19, 2013

A: Ken - the Greenworks 25312 mower operates on a single battery, but I can't really tell you what the run time "per battery" would be. It's safe to assume that each battery would provide comparable run time of about 30 minutes per battery, but this will depend on lawn conditions. The replacement G-Max batteries are not available as of yet, but when they do become available, we will have them on our web site.
by Jose, Product Expert

Q: Does this greenworks machine come with a charger ?
by Arch from Washington on May 08, 2013

A: Arch - yes, the Greenworks 25312 cordless mower does include a battery charger.
by Jose, Product Expert

Q: What is the difference between this model, Greenworks 25312 and the Greenworks model 25292?
by Kris from Illinois on April 18, 2013

A: The Greenworks 25312 and the Greenworks 25292 are really the same model but updated with the G-Max series batteries and will eventually completely replace the 25292 . These batteries are still a 40-Volt lithium-ion battery, but can charge in about half the time it takes for the standard 40-Volt lithium-ion batteries on the 25292.

The other advantage to the 25312 is the price tag. This model is $30.00 less than its counterpart and you still get the same unit, just with the added incentive of quicker charge times.

56 Year Old Woman Loves It!
What can I say? My husband thinks his job is done when he mows what he can with the big zero turn. He doesn't do trimming...that is why I bought this mower.

I am 56 years old with painful joints and can't do a gas mower. I did all the trim work on our 3+ acre property on one battery. That was the first time I used it.

The second time I have used it was when my husband's "beast" quit running and a JUNGLE started growing up around me!

Now, I didn't try to mow the whole thing... more

Green Works 19" Mower
I purchased this mower to take care of 2 suburban lots. I will commend the manufacturer for making a lightweight, quiet machine that does a reasonable job of it.

That said, understand that in no way does this have the ability of a gas powered mower. To make your life easier, you will have to mow the lawn frequently, as this item will struggle with high grass. If you get a lot of rain, you may end up in a situation where you cannot mow it often enough to stay ahead of the growth.

Wow! Lightweight To Push
OK, This is quite an inovative product. I will list my pro's and con's, A little refinement and this could be an outright winner.

The lightweight easy to push mower is just fantastic
Very low noise
Cut thru high grass pretty well
Easy to clean grass clippings
Batteries are easy to use and charge
The batteries last about 30-minutes with medium grass ( not the 50- minutes advertised) but with 2-batteries, you can get your hour of mowing without recharge
The safety button on the handle is... more

A Great Improvement In Battery Powered Lawnmower
I have been using a lead zinc battery powered lawnmower for 14 years and was satisfied by it's performance, but this new lithium ion powered mower is far superior. It is easier to handle and far easier to adjust in cutting height, and has a wider cut. Though I have only used it a few times so far, I am highly pleased with its design and performance.
Pros: Easy To Use, Features, Quiet

Just Awesome
First time lawnmower owner, and opting to keep my gear gas/oil free. This lawnmower exceeded my expectation and did a fantastic job on the lawn. I did both the front and back yard in about 30min on one full charge battery. However I do have a smaller lawn mind you. This thing is QUIET! which is a huge selling point to me. It's lightweight and easy to push and turn thanks to the larger back wheels. The grass catch bag clips on easily and is simple to remove and empty. I highly recommend this... more

Great Machine
This is our second cordless mower, We wore the other out after several years. The technology of these new batteries are miles ahead of the old lead-acid batteries. They last longer, charge faster, but are relatively expensive to replace. The cost should come down for the batteries as more and more people buy and discover how good these machines are. I will definitely continue to use Lithium Batteries in everything!

Reasonably Happy
I'm a single woman with a big yard. I like the mower because it it is lightweight, runs on a battery and has a start button, which is very easy to use compared to the pull string on a gas mower. It's early days, yet (only one month), but it works pretty well, so far. (I'll write another review in a year.)

My only concern is that the batteries seem to overheat (or something) before they need to be recharged. Inevitably, the mower will cut out on me while I am mowing. I'll put the battery... more

So Far, So Good
I bought this Green Works electric mower to replace a Honda self-propelled unit I'd bought for the all the trim work for our lawn. We needed something that was easy to start and also was easy to maneuver. My wife did most of the trim work and Honda was just too heavy and hard to use. This electric mower is just right for our needs. The first time we used it kept going nearly through the job before a battery change was needed. It's quiet, it has enough power to go through heavy grass when... more

Great Purchase!
I LOVE this mower. I have a very large yard and worried that the battery charge wouldn't take me through the whole yard. It does unless I let the grass grow too long. It is actually fun to use this!

Ar Exceeds Expectations
I have fun mowing the lawn now. I also don't have to wonder whether the mower will start or not. All I have to do is charge the battery, put it in along with the key, press the button on the handle and hold the bar, and it starts. In six years I had an electric push mower, lead acid, no recharge a gas push mower, lasted two years and threw a rod or something (I had to have that one worked on) a gas riding mower, didn't have the manual and it broke down and this one. This one is a li-on... more
