Q: Are the batteries removable for winter storage? by Charlene Haines from Vermont on May 15, 2011
A: Charlene - yes, the battery pack on this mower is removable. The battery can be charged whether it is installed in the mower or not. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: can the model # 25092 forward speed be controlled by the user. I like to mow at a slow forward speed as I believe most mowers move a bit too fast to do a quality smooth cut. What is the expected life for the battery. How much preventive maintenance is required in the unit. I am very high on the care of machines. The yard I care for is small, nomal cutting time with my 20 in. self propelled gas mower is about 45 minutes, will the battery hold up to this? by Bill from Texas on April 25, 2011
A: This unit is self propelled, but you can let up on the bail and this should allow you to slow up the mower's drive system.
In terms of life on the battery, this can depend. If you are running is down until it is dead on a regular basis, it can bring down the life expectancy, but otherwise should last for quite some time. You also have a 4 year warranty on the mower as well. This mower can handle up to a 1/4 acre on one charge. If have a bigger yard than that, you may be running into a problem with this machine.

Q: Can you put in a 36 volt battery instead of the 24 volt battery? by Bonnie Housel from Pennsylvania on April 07, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. This mower will only accept a 24 volt battery. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Is this a new product? I see that there are no reviews. Does this have varied possible speeds? by Yvonne Alt from Alabama on March 10, 2011

Help for us elders!
Received my mower and charged the battery. I was mowing my yard as soon as the indicator indicates it was charged and ready to go. What a pleasure to be able to mow my yard without filling it with gas & oil and pull a cord to start it.
I have mowed my front and back yards with no problems twice now. I am very happy so far. Will see how this works out during this season??? Hope we continue with this machine to work as well. So far, so good.

Best Green Thing you can do today!
I bought this mower because I have a really bad back. I mean a really bad, bad, back. To top that I also have fibromyalgia or what ever. I can't stand any sort of vibration. Until I got in shape it was hard to keep up with. It is very good exercise to walk behind it and when I get tired it pulls me along until the battery runs out. I have a small yard and its hilly. I guess that's why the battery doesn't last to cut but half of it. I guess my yard is 5 to 6000 yards total. It will cut about half of it before going dead.
I really love it though. I just bought another since I have no backup and my yard requires cutting every week. I wish that it was not so hard to push with out using the self-propelled mode, but its impossible for and old man to push unless its going down hill. It cuts great as long as it has a good charge.
Great little mower. No smells to put up with. No cranking problems. No gas or oil to go get. Just plug it up when you are through and its ready the next day if you need it. The electric weed eaters are great for those who can't stand vibrations too. Good luck, Jerry.

my mower
I like the mower but can't keep up with it when i have it on self propel. Goes to fast for me. I have a slight disability and can't walk very fast. Other wise it pushes very hard.

Greenworks Cordless Electric Self Propelled Mower
I would like to say how pleased I am with my mower. I received it, unpacked it, charged the battery, and was ready to go within 1 day of getting it. I did have a problem with the recharging of the battery but when my husband called, they sent a replacement battery right away.
I have about .5 acre of land that needs mowing, and I can mow the front on 1 charge. Then the next day I mow the back (which has less grass). It it very easy to use and quiet. I got the self propelled as my back yard is on a slope and the mower handles this very nicely.
I have noticed that the charge holds longer when I don't use the self propel feature which is understandable. It seems to do a better job cutting the grass than my old gas mower. I also like the different levels. I really like the easy start of the mower.
For those looking to "go green" and since the price of gasoline is extremely high, this mower is one they should seriously consider. I love mine.

Much to my surprise, I was able to mow my entire lawn and my daughters small lawn and ended with about 25 present of power left in the battery an its first charge.
To date, I have no complaints as long as my 80-year-old bones can keep up to it.
