Q: Hi there, I am interested in buying a reel lawn mower and don’t know which one to buy. I live in South Florida (Miami). I don’t want to spend money on gas and I definitely don’t like fumes. A: Antonio - If you live in South Florida, chances are your lawn is a St. Augustine type of grass. And yes, this is some of the toughest grass to cut with a reel mower. If you have a thick grass like a St.Augustine, a Zoysia, or a Bermuda, you are going to need a heavier weight reel mower to plow through the thicker blades of grass, and that means it's going to be harder to push. I would recommend the Fiskers Momentum reel mower. Fiskars reel mower The Fiskars weighs more than a conventional reel mower, but the forward position of the reel and the versa-cut height adjustment will probably give you the best performance when it comes to managing thick grass like you have. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Todd ...assuming that the height of the blades can be adjusted ... what range of cutting heights can be selected?
How many inches to how many inches, (i.e. 2" to perhaps 4")?

A: Michael - the cutting height on this model can be adjusted in 1/4" increments from a low height of 1.75" to a max height of 2.75" by Todd, Product Expert

Reel Good!
I had been looking at reel mowers for the past couple of months. I had been using a lawn mowing service that was charging me a fair amount for about 15 minutes of work per week. I decide to go with the Greenworks 20" push reel mower. I am really glad that I did. I've used it two times now to mow. The first time was a little clunky as I was getting to understand the terrain of my yard. However, the bag worked great and I got the hang of it after a couple of rows.
The second time I didn't use the bag and it was even easier. I've received compliments from neighbors on my lawn mower and my yard. I already bought the blade sharpener, too, so I'm looking forward to zero carbon footprint and saved money in my pocket. I've already told people at work about it and they want one, too.

Love my new mower
Recently, my fiancee and the mower of my lawn died. I have never been good with motors and thought about one of the new battery mowers. My daughter and I decided that we needed the exercise and could push one.
It is great! So easy to push and cuts the grass very well. You can't wait very long to cut and too high of grass with be difficult so we get our exercise about once a week!

Go Green With Greenworks
Purchased the Greenworks 25072 20-Inch 5-Blade Push Reel Lawn Mower and put it to work right away. Wow! Great machine. Very impressive. My lawn was a bit over grown so in some spots I had to do more than just one pass, but the end result was as good as any gas mower would deliver, without the fumes and the cost of gasoline. And if anyone tells you that "the disadvantage is that you have to do the pushing", I can honestly say that it is not any more difficult than pushing my gas mower, actually easier, as the machine isn't nearly as heavy. You should see my back yard now. THANK YOU GREENWORKS.
