Q: What size wheels are on the mower. by Paul from Virginia on August 17, 2011
A: Paul - the front wheels are 7" in diameter, and the rear wheels are 10" in diameter. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: What is the cutting height range for this Greenworks corded electric lawn mower? Thx by Tom from California on June 26, 2011
A: Tom - this mower has a cutting height adjustment range from 1-1/2" to 3-3/4" by Todd, Product Expert
Q: Can I use an extension cord with the lawn mower cord? My yard is small, but my only outlet is on the back of my house. by Cheryl from Florida on June 12, 2011
A: Cheryl - you HAVE to use an extension with this electric mower. The mower does not come with a power cord. You can use a 16-gauge outdoor rated extension cord if you only need 40 feet or less to reach the edges of your yard. If you need more than 40 feet of extension cord to reach the edges of your yard, you should use a 14-gauge outdoor rated extension cord. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: What is the length of the cord on this mower and, using an extension cord (if this is possible), what is the maximum length from an electric outlet can the mower be used? Thanks for your help. David by David from Indiana on May 01, 2011
A: David - the cord on this mower is pretty short - only about 10 or 12 inches in length. It is designed to be used with an extension cord. The receptacle on this cord does feature a cord lock, which helps hold in the extension cord you use in place so it doesn't pull out as you mow. According to the manufacturer's spec's on this mower, you can be up to 150' away from the electrical outlet if you are using a 12-gauge extension cord; 100' away if you are using a 14-gauge extension cord; or about 50' away is you are using a 16-gauge extension cord. by Todd, Product Expert

Todd's Recommendation
The GreenWorks 25022 electric mower is a great choice for someone who is looking for an easy-to-use mower that takes care of a smaller yard.
It may be small, but this electric lawn mower delivers the power of a gas machine with the convenience of an electric unit. No gas, no oil, no tune-ups equals no headaches!
This mower gives you a 20" wide cut - pretty much the same as a gas-powered, walk-behind mower, and it will bag, mulch or side discharge your grass clippings.
And best of all, the GreenWorks 25022 electric mower is covered by a 4-YEAR WARRANTY! That's up to twice as long as other electric mowers!
The powerful 12-amp motor and the 20-inch wide cutting width make this lawn mower the ideal choice for small yards. The GreenWorks 25022 delivers the advantages of an electric corded lawn mower at a very inexpensive price.

Getting the Job Done
I'm quite pleased with my new electrically driven mower. I wish I had thought to spray release agent on the underside of the mower before I first used it. My first time out the lawn was very wet and a lot of gunk stuck to it. The instructions warn against hosing it down so I carefully scraped away with a plastic tool and will clean it thoroughly before the next use, and spray release agent to make it easier to clean in the future.
I wish it would cut closer but I don't believe any rotary mowers do so. If I could have found a corded reel mower rather than a rotary, it would have been my first choice. My Bermuda lawn has become very spongy. I would really like to cut it very close but that doesn't seem to be an option with the height adjustment.

I am unable to shop for gas. The Greenworks electric mower saved the day. I had heard about this mower from a friend but did not see it local. I went online and discovered your site and sent for the mower. I just enjoy the ease with which it cuts. I'm in my seventies and don't have much get up and go. This mower got up and went and did the job. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Christine

Greenworks (20") 12-Amp Electric 3-In-1 Lawn Mower
I've only had a chance to use it once, but so far I like it very much.
Pros: Light, easy to push and maneuver. Cutting height adjustment (after I fixed it) is very convenient. Mulches well (but not quite as well as my gas-powered mower). Very quiet compared to gas powered mowers. I chose this brand and model because it has a metal deck as opposed to the plastic deck that the competing Black & Decker model has. Plenty of power for small and medium residential lawns. No gas, oil and little maintenance required. Zero effort required to start it. No emissions!
Cons: Channel that height adjustment lever moves through when height is being changed was too narrow as it arrived out of the box. I couldn't change the cutting height. It took me about an hour to figure out what exactly the problem was and pry the channel wider (about a sixteenth of an inch) with a large screw driver. Now it works fine. Power cord (as with all corded electrics) is a nuisance, but not nearly as much as most people might expect. Unknown reliability and durability.
Tips: Spray the under deck with silicon spray lubricant to reduce grass cutting buildup under deck. I think most people will need a 100 ft cord, and if you do, be sure to use a the proper gauge (14 gauge) power cord to get all 12 amps of power from the motor. This may also increase the motor lifetime over a 16 gauge, 100' cord. These heavier cords are kind of expensive though.

Just one more thing
Mower works fine, has plenty of power, lightweight enough for me to handle. Good that it is 20" (seem to be a lot of 19" electrics). The one more thing would be a flip-over handle. I have an old Black and Decker that has that feature and it makes dealing with the cord a LOT easier. All-in-all, the GreenWorks mower is good.

Warranty
The mower was received much sooner than I expected and was very easy to assemble.
The mower has worked fine. So far I have mowed my lawn three times and it's only the end of April. I have used all three of it's features and each one has done well.
Overall the mower seems well designed and constructed. I do have a concern about the painting of the handles since they seem to scratch easily.

Someday
Last year I bought a floor steamer on line. It is still safely in the box, waiting for the right moment for this 'read directions' challenged person to take it out.
Now, you mustn't rush me on the lawn mower. Hickory nuts all over the lawn and minimum rain make rushing this project, unnecessary.
If I turn my back, one of my daughters may sneak in and put the mower together in a matter of minutes. New appliances and gizmos need time to mature before an accurate opinion can be given...
'Tis a nice box and the pic is lovely! Thanks for asking- but later, dudes!
