one more question, will the 3000-16 gang mower cut grass three to four inches long and not bog down?

A: Gary - If the grass isn't wet, you should be able to handle about 3" long grass without the unit getting bogged down. Grass that is any taller, or if it's wet - it's all going to depend on the type of grass and how thick it is.

Q: Todd,
I am interested in the model 3000-16 gang mower. I live in Wyoming and want to use the mower on a two acre lot that has gently rolling hills and some uneven areas in the land that isn't over two inches deep. Do you think I can use this mower with success? Also Can the mower be offset from the machine that is towing it?

A: Gary - yes, the 3000-16 gang reel mower should be able to handle the terrain you have described with no problem. However, this mower CANNOT be offset. The tow bar is center mounted, and goes straight back to the mower carriage. The tow bar cannot be offset to one side or the other.
