Don't Waste Your Money
My husband "surprised me" with a new mower. I prefer to mow the lawn myself, but wanted a mower with a rear bagger so I wouldn't struggle to keep the grass out of the pool. He brought this home and is afraid to tell me what he spent (but I'm well aware what this mower costs), and I gave it a try, twice. Unless you charge it and use the electric start(which I don't need), it's very difficult to start. You have to pull many times and it barely chokes it way to life.

The front wheels... more

Not What I Expected
Ordered the Cub Cadet based on it's reputation for reliability and durability. Received the mower when it was promised with everything intact and all parts required for the fast, simple assembly. The mower is very well constructed and would easily do the job for which it was intended. The problem was that the self propel feature and the weight of the mower tended to tear up the sod on my front terrace. The terrace is very steep. This is something you should consider when ordering a mower... more

Great Mower
The delivery was right on time and the driver helped me put the mower in the garage. Has good speed and easy to control. I really like the elect start. Had heart surgery and the electric start helps me.

Price was great, also...would recommend this mower and Mower Direct to everyone....Thanks again.

Push Mower
Excellent customer service and delivery. Mower was easy to assemble. Starts and cuts the grass great. Self-propel mechanism is difficult to freewheel when pulling the mower backwards. Overall a great product.

It Was Dead On Arrival!!!
Defective unit - at least the warranty covered repair cost but had to load it in the truck and drive it to the repair shop where the fixed a defective "kill switch". At least it works okay now and PED did give me a phone number to call to get a number for the nearest authorized repair facility. No speed adjustment. Electric start is excellent.

A Common Man's Point Of View
I had been buying products such as this gas-powered mower from Amazon, but when they informed me that they would be charging sales tax from Georgia Residents, I went looking elsewhere. Mowers Direct was slightly higher for the same features, but cost less in the long run, because there was no sales tax. The mower did not start on the slight charge still in the battery but in around six hours the charger brought the battery up with enough power to start the mower. It has started many times since... more

Front Wheel Drive ... We Hates It, We Does.
The machine arrived on time via Freight. It was a bit cumbersome for a 70 yr old geezer to unpack, but not impossible.

I have never had a front wheel drive mower, and had I known what the minuses were, I would not have bought it. It runs way too fast for most elderly users. Wonder why they couldn't provide a larger drive pulley to slow that sucker down?

Mowing around shrubbery and breakables is a major PITA. You have to hold down on the bar and let the front wheels spin in the sod, then... more

"Arrived via ABS ... some drivers are a real pleasure to deal with, and I got a good one this time. He helped me wheel it down to the garage. I suspect that seeing a geezer and his arthritic wife show up at the tail gate had something to do with his eagerness to offload it and wheel it down to the shed."

Junk
Had a Cub Cadet....ran great! Needed to purchase a new one this summer...used it once...ran great, the 2nd use it kept stalling, took it to the dealer, they said the only thing they could think of is, I needed to raise the blades...since it was a rainy summer....well every time I have to cut grass it has to be on the highest setting or it stalls and takes forever to restart...will never purchase a Cub Cadet...apparently consumer reports didn't have my issue! Very unsatisfied!
Pros: Light Weight
Cons: Difficult To Use, Unreliable, Bad Instructions, Nothing But Trouble

Cub Cadet Cc46es
Purchased the mower this past Summer Through Mowers Direct and delivery was great. But after using the mower several times I started to notice that the electric starter became useless and that left me using the pull. One thing that I like is that it is light and it start right up using the pull method. Another problem that I encountered white using the machine is that the filter and cover came loose and I lost it. Need to find a replacement!
Pros: Quiet, Easy To Use, Easy To Store
Cons: Unreliable, Low Quality, Bad Instructions, Electric Start Useless
