Q: Jose,
How do you adjust the height of the blades? And it does have two blades, right? One lever or multiple levers?

by Carmen Cicalese from New Jersey on May 10, 2015

A: Carmen - there is a lever on the left side of the mower just in front of the left rear tire that you slide forward and back to adjust the cutting height of the mower deck. If you look closely at the image of this mower, you can see this lever just to the left side of the engine. And yes, this model has a twin blade mower deck.

Q: What's the minimum width my fence gate can be to fit the mower through?
by Michael from New Jersey on April 09, 2015

A: Michael - the Cub Cadet CC760ES mower measures 36" wide with the side discharge chute cover in the "up" position, and 48" wide with the side discharge cover in the "down" position.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Is the handle on this unit adjustable at all for varying heights of an operator?
by Dave S. from Illinois on July 15, 2014

A: Dave - the handle height on the Cub Cadet CC760ES mower is adjustable. The upper handle is secured to two support bars that can be adjusted to raise or lower the handle height. Full instructions on how to adjust the handle height can be found on page 21 of the owners manual (which you can view in the "specs" tab on our web page).
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: How does it turn. physically or with motor
by Roger from Georgia on April 25, 2014

A: Roger - the Cub Cadet CC760ES mower does not have any type of steering assist system. The front swivel wheels will help turn and maneuver this mower more easily, but it will still be the operator who is supplying the movement to turn the mower.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: What company makes the engine on this mower? You give the cc's what is the horse power rating on this engine?
by George Sluder from North Carolina on July 05, 2013

A: George - Cub Cadet still builds their own engines in their own factory. It's a Cub Cadet brand engine. There is no true conversion from cc's to HP, but a 420cc engine would be roughly equal to 12.5 HP.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Does this mower have mulching capability?
by Larry Riens from Nebraska on May 23, 2013

A: This mower does come with the ability to mulch and side discharge out of the box. There will be a baffle which comes with the mower. The bagger would be additional for this mower.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Jose,

Looking at the Cub Cadet electric start walk behind model CC 760 ES.

by Neil Hibler from Massachusetts on May 19, 2013

A: Neil - the Cub Cadet CC760ES does NOT have a recoil starter on the engine. This mower only has an electric start option.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Can I connect a sulky to this mower??
by Kareem from New Jersey on May 09, 2013

A: Kareem - sorry, but this mower cannot be used with a sulky attachment.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Can a sulky/velke be used with this mower...adequately. I weigh about 250lbs. Personal lawn use only.
by Dean from Kentucky on April 21, 2013

A: Dean - the Cub Cadet wide area walk mowers are NOT set-up to be used with a sulky.

The Cub Cadet CC 760 ES wide area mower is one of the most popular models that Cub Cadet produces, and it's easy to see why once you use one. This mower combines lots of power and top-end performance.

You may notice I have listed this unit ahead of the Ariens WAW34 but the Cub Cadet is actually a lower price. This is actually another aspect I considered when putting the particular item ahead of the Ariens. When you look at the cost of this unit and the overall quality and put the two... more

Good Value For The Money
Bought this mower after watching my neighbor put many hours on his in commercial service without any problems. Researched many mowers and this one had consistently good reviews. I've only used mine twice but really like it. Lots power even just above idle. Good spread of speed between the 4 forward speeds. Smooth cutting even going fast in high grass at the top deck height. Great for my 1.1 acre lawn.

Be Very Careful Before Purchasing
We've had the 760 ES since late summer 2013, so about 2 full mowing seasons. It has a number of issues that have surfaced since we initially bought it.

First, the good news is the engine seems to start and run quite easily and the oil has been clean for all four changes.

The not-so-good:

1. Cut quality was never great, but it has deteriorated over time. I believe the blades are spinning far too slowly - perhaps the engine gov is slipping (have tried a few different blades that... more

Great Machine
Decided it was time to graduate from the 22" "self-propelled" Husky and immediately found the Cub Cadet walk-behind. It arrived in less than a week in pristine condition.

This thing is a beast. Assembly was a snap, including swapping the blades for Gator Blades (I mulch). More than enough power to get through the tall, wet stuff with ease. In fourth gear, your walking briskly - exactly what I wanted.

Controls are intuitive and responsive. I suggest some non-skid material... more

Cub Cadet 33" Review
I have a 0.6 Acre Lot with walkout. idling mower just seemed too big for lot and to store. Standard 21" was taking me about 1.5 hrs. Saw this and decided it would be a good fit. Definitely bulky to use and cumbersome around landscaping, but so would a rider. Mower does a wheelie when drive engaged in 3rd or 4th gear.

The drive belt tends to slip. I took it in after first use and was told everything is within specs. Belt still slips just a bit when drive engaged and going up walkout... more

So Far, So Good.
I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing online and also with the reported drive belt problems on this model. I've owned it a month and no problems with the purchase/delivery or the mower.

It is a beast though, and might be a little heavy for some. It will be a few years before I'm able to let my son mow the yard with this, just because of the weight and muscle needed to maneuver in tight turns.

I'm very pleased with the machine. There is some clumping of grass I would like to rectify,... more

Exceeded Expectations!
After extensive research, I settled on the Cub Cadet 33" mower. PED processed my order promptly and the mower and accessories were shipped right on time. After connecting the battery, topping off the oil and adding gas, I was pleased at how quickly the mower started.

The engine is extremely quiet and smooth. After warm up and a recheck of the oil I put the mower to work. It never skipped a beat and I was able to finish my lawn in less than half the time it took with my old... more

The Best Mower
Bought mine and have had success. Low setting on the deck will definitely take it down to the dirt... Starts like a dream! Fourth gear is pushing it.. Its almost as if you are running behind it... I used fourth gear on the straightaways and used third around corners and trees. I would highly recommend this mower!!

New Cub Cadet 33" Walk Behind
I've only had this machine for about a month so I can't speak for durability, although it seems sturdy and well built. It definitely has more than enough power. Will go through tall dense grass without any hesitation. Electric start is great, fires right up.

Castor wheels are heavy duty and work well. Machine is probably not for a smaller person as it is pretty heavy. I have a hilly 1/2 acre with many obstacles so a tractor wasn't working well for me and my 22" toro was just too... more

Yes, This One!
If you still want the versatility of a walk behind or perhaps have to access a fenced in area with steep hills, this is a great mower.

With the discharge up it easily fits through a 45" gate opening and it climbs hills with ease. The mulching works so well it leaves little to no clumps, even with 8" long wet grass. Exactly what we were looking for.

Great Mower - Professional Cut - Find A Servicer To Fix Cables
Just turned 420 hours - very good quality cut will handle any lawn. Easy to start and use with some muscle on turns. Bad news is cables break ( 4 times in 5 seasons ) also, 3 batteries replaced so remove battery into basement during winter. Too big for my SUV so find someone to come to you for maintenance.
