Q: Todd, if i buy this mower and something goes wrong within the 3 year warranty, how would i get it fixed? by Joe from Connecticut on June 26, 2011
A: Joe - any needed warranty service would be provided by your local Ariens dealer. We have a link on our web site under customer service that would allow you to look up the closest Ariens service centers using your zip code. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: the ariens zero turn mowers, do they have snow blowers available? and if so are they easy to mount? just trying to cut back on the number of gas engines to maintain. thanks Troy by Troy Donth from Minnesota on June 11, 2011
A: Troy - Ariens does make a snow blower attachment that mounts to the front of their zero turn mowers. I would say the installation is moderate in terms of ease. We don't stock the snow blower attachment, but we would be able to special order it for you if you decide you want one. To be honest, the snow blower attachment is not a big seller, mostly because of the handling and traction of a zero turn mower on snow and ice. Give us a call if you want to find out more about the Ariens snow blower attachment for their zero turn mowers. by Todd, Product Expert
Q: If I buy a zero turn from you (looking hard at the ariens zoom xl 48), is it fully assembled before i have it lift gated to my house? thanks by Charles Monroe from Texas on April 02, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. The only assembly required is attaching the seat. Then just gas, oil, and go!! by Todd, Product Expert
Q: I am looking for a 48" zero for a small commercial property. It is a "strip center with long narrow sections of grass. Not a lot, but i also intend to use mowing my own grass approx 4 acres. I am not in the landsaping biz full fledged and will not be using 40 hrs a week nor everyday either. help me?? by Don Geddis from Ohio on March 10, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. This mower is perfect for the application you described. The Ariens ZoomXL48 is designed for the landowner with a lot of property to tend to but not at a commercial level. The feature that seperates this mower from the rest is the Kawasaki engine. This engine gives you a smooth power output, quieter operation and outstanding durability. This mower should give you exactly what you need.
Received my mower the other day and everything was in excellent shape. Must say I had some worries buying a mower online sight unseen, but the experience was great. Mower was shipped quickly and even the driver took time to ensure the mower was in acceptable condition before he left. Mower appears to be great quality. Might need some very minor adjustments on the tracking and deck. A great buy that I would recommend to anyone.

John Phoenix, AZ
Owned now for 18 months
I have a 1 acre yard in Phoenix AZ that I have to mow year around. With our grass it is very important to bag the clippings. In the past I owned a John Deere tractor with a rear bagger attachment. It did a good job of mowing, however the passive bagger would clog unless the grass was bone dry. Even in Phoenix it is hard to time mowing so that the grass is totally dry.
I finally moved up to this mower about a year and a half ago. I am very pleased. I bought the powered bagger attachment and this machine does a great job. It is significantly faster and more maneuverable. I can mow my 1 acre yard in about 30 minutes. For individual aspects about this mower I would rate them as follows.
ENGINE - Top notch. Quiet, smooth running, plenty of power. 5 stars.
COMFORT - Nice seat, good ergonomics, as good as or better than the John Deere. 5 stars.
BUILD QUALITY - Required adjusting of the drive system. Wanted to wander to the left. Else OK. 4 stars.
GRASS CUTTING - Very fast! Even in a straight line it goes significantly faster than my old tractor. When purchased, the deck was badly out of level. The owners manual gave good directions on adjusting, which took me about 45 minutes. The blades have to be kept sharp for the mower to mow at its top speed. When the blades begin to dull the mower has a tendency to leave grass partially cut if run at top speed. More finicky than other slower mowers. If blades kept sharp it does a very nice job. 5 stars.
BAGGING - This is the main reason I bought this mower. The powered bagger, while pricey compared to passive baggers, is a huge plus. It will bag damp grass and packs the rear bags full. The bags hold the equivalent of 4 large garbage cans of grass. This cuts down on the number of times you have to stop and empty the bagger. Installing the bagger is a bit of a job. I have a well stocked shop and have worked as a mechanic, yet it still took me about three hours to install and adjust. Still, two big thumbs up. 5 stars.
FINAL THOUGHTS - Not as cheap as some others but given the electric PTO, the great engine, the excellent powered bagger, the welded deck, the nice ergonomics, I think this was a great buy.
