Last year the "Good Eats" sign must have gone up on my lawn- I had mole tunnels everywhere!
The tunnels would cave in under my mower's wheels and the grass would die in patches. It was a mess.
I decided to fight back.
First, I laid down some Milky Spore to kill the grubs the moles were after. Then I got one of these lawn rollers and went over all the areas with tunnels.
The roller packed the tunnel dirt back down and I got my smooth yard back!
I rolled the yard once a month during the summer, just to make sure the tunnels stayed closed.
I also emptied the roller water into my garden so it wasn't wasted.
Since the roller part is plastic it's light weight enough (without the water) that it's easy to store in the winter months.
Plus, it won't rust the way steel rollers do, so I'll win the Mole War for years to come.
